I stopped watching it several years ago. When I realized that many of their shows were based on real life, and the side they took was liberal, they lost me. Same with ER - used to never miss it.

I'll keep watching CSI until they start politicizing it, then it will be strictly cable. I was especially struck by an episode of CSI: Miami when the main character agonized over & prayed for the fetal victim of a murder.

I'm about your age and I remember an America when you could leave your door unlocked, when you could send your kids to the corner candy store and not worry about what might happen to them, when a police officer's greatest threat was to tell your "old man" you were misbehaiving, when people feared doing things wrong because it would dishonor their family name, when kids were allowed out of school for deer hunting and the only gunshots in school were in the basement at the rifle range, when the raciest thing on TV was the romance between Matt Dillon and Amanda Blake, when Memorial Day and Veterans Day was celebrated with immense parades of proud veterans and the streets were lined with admiring, thankful citizens, and everybody had a local church they attended where the minister or priest was a morally straight man of God who believed in the Bible, when nobody would dream of disgracing their own flag, and each day in school started with a prayer, a Bible reading, and a salute to the flag

We lost all that, thanks in large part to activist Courts and Judges and advocacy groups which have placed the "rights" of a small vocal political minority over the rights of the overwhelming number of other citizens.

I stand corrected/apparently missed seeing that quip in the episode. However, I do recall at least three derogatory remarks about Klinton in past episodes. Either they're anti-conservative or just plain anti-everyone/everything as part of their "craft."

In any event, the show is too liberal for my tastes, but otherwise is done well and compelling, IMO. I just wish the cheap bastards who produce the show would play fewer reruns.

The "SVU" and "Criminal Intent" are quite decent overall, IMO. Especially the latter, featuring the cerebral detective and an overall decent cast.

In any event, it's just NYC/Hollywood TV. What should we expect from that cabal of ravening, anti-American, anti-religion wolves??

I recall Lenny saying that he knows there are WMD in Irag because (paraphrase) W's father sold them to Saddam. At least, that is the way it sounded to me. I agree, though, the whole tone of the episode was anti-Bush. I was upset!
