LOL! She'd fit right in, wouldn't she? And I'll bet the DA would be relieved if she fled the country. A virtual admission of guilt and she'd be unlikely to return. That's a local politician's wet dream.

....The cross being stolen sounds like a fraternity-type prank.

The cross being stolen and burned on a campus field was a protest against Mel Gibsons' "Passion" movie.

The students later said they didn't realize it was insensitive to blacks.

Gee, you're in college and you don't know that cross burning is a big no-no?

Look what idiots our education system are turning out these days.

So they were burning the cross to protest the cross? Are you saying this was an anti-christian thing? Where did you hear or read this?

I got my suspicion after reading this

The cross burning came at the hight of the "passion" controversy. These guys were just being good little brainwashed leftists. I happen to live in Claremont and there is no animousity towards blacks at all. But there is a huge contingent against Bush and Christians and conservatives on campus, a trend we are seeing around the nation.

The fact that they did not know about the significance of burning crosses for blacks (or Jews or Catholics) for that matter, is actually a hopeful sign. It means their leftist teachers and now their leftist profs have failed to indoctrinate them in the "catechism."

I was trying to say in my round about way that it would be one of these fake hate crime stunts pulled by some campus wacko that would send the legions of hate filled liberals out on a seek and destroy mission. Though for the record I have heard of movies being involved in the motive end of hate crimes against whites.

They are guilty before they even walk in the door.

Do you have any doubt in your mind why I am hoping to go live in another country?

"I cringe when this stuff happens," said Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at California State University, San Bernardino. "... In the broad universe of these crimes, far more go unreported than falsely reported."

Sure, pal. Millions and millions go unreported. Isn't that right, Levin? After all, your paycheck depends on it, right? You foul, stinking fraud.

I understand completely. In fact, an old friend of mine recently moved to Thailand for the same reason.

I am going to the Philippines. They speak better English there, but this is not the main reason for going. It is more economical than anything else.

Since she's an alumna of UNL, I did a quick on campus search. I found one reference that dates to her time here, a contribution to a conference. Looks like her interest in 'victimhood' is long-standing.

The Effects of Victim Race, Perpetrator Race and Jury Instructions on Capital Sentencing Decisions,
Kerri Dunn, Synthia Willis-Esqueda, & Robert Schopp

By the way, the police record is certainly for real.
