I love to see the General on TV.

He always gives great sound bites!

We cheer loudly for our troops not simply because they are deserving, honorable, courageous, warriors - but because we know the enem(ies). So, when the lowlifes attack a Brit Soldier, we will cheer louder for our allies.

You mean Oohrah not Hooah.

Actually, "Hoah" is the Army cheer. The pronunciation is a little tricky.

Capt BECKER, sir, you have my undying respect. You and your men have crossed the Rubicon, there is no going back now. As a New Yorker, I fully understand your emotions.

Carry on, be safe, and know that we Americans at home are behind you and your colleagues 1000 percent!

Oh, and don't worry about the punks here at home, we'll take care of them. You can take book on that.

Capt. Becker,

Semper Fi, from the daughter of a Marine, to a fellow NYer.

God keep you and your buddies safe!

BTTT Thank you Capt. Becker and May God Bless. I find this line esp. striking: This place and what we are doing here is more closely linked to terrorism - and American and world security - than I will ever be allowed to discuss. We wouldn't be out here giving it everything we have if it weren't important. Not a day goes by out here that I don't think of the cops, firefighters and regular New Yorkers who died on 9/11.

I'm well aware that Hooah is an Army cheer. Marines don't utter Army cheers.

Sorry. That's what I get for jumping into a thread without actually reading the title. Hoah anyway. Or should I say Bravo Zulu, which is something I vaguely remember from my Navy days?
