Bush also said al-Sadr is working against democracy in Iraq, but Kerry suggested Tuesday that arresting him would work against efforts to build stability in the country. Yeah, let him run loose and continue to build up his militia and assasinate rival clerics. That REALLY is a recipe for stability, Flipper....
Sometimes I simply cannot believe what comes spilling out of Kerry's yap.

Now Kerry wouldn't be politicizing the war, would he?

One must wonder, is Kerry fulfilling his duties as a U.S. Senator with all this campaigning? The people of Massuchusetts have to wonder.

In the radio interview, Kerry also said it was not wise for U.S. officials to try to arrest Muqtada al-Sadr, an anti-American cleric, without taking other steps to control violence in Iraq. U.S. officials announced an arrest warrant against al-Sadr on Monday, the same day that Bush reaffirmed his commitment to the June 30 deadline. Bush also said al-Sadr is working against democracy in Iraq, but Kerry suggested Tuesday that arresting him would work against efforts to build stability in the country. Kerry an expert on Sadr all the sudden? Or is he signaling, again, to Iran for some multilateral election support?

He set the deadline so that Vietnam haters like Kerry wouldn't go off saying "there's no exit strategy - we're in a quagmire" (which of course they're already saying!) Plus, this President really does have the interest of our troops and the Iraqi people at stake...It's amazing how no one ever mentions the Iraqi governing council (of which there are 25 members) or how they really want to help their own country and people shape their future.

"As I have said since day one, what you need is to minimize the perception and reality of an American occupation."Turning over power does that, John. That's why we want to do it quickly. Can you ever complete a thought without contradicting something you said in the previous breath?

Al-Sadr has declared war on the US. If Congress and Kerry had any clue, they would immediately declare war on al-Sadr and his followers, declare them combatants and kill them on sight.
But, noooooooooooooo, we will follow the same model of 1996 and 1999 when bin Laden declared war and jihad against all things American and do freaking nothing.
No, I take that back, they will dance on the graves of our dead warriors with nary a second thought about it.
Spineless pieces of garbage.

"If all we do is make war against the Iraqi people and continue an American occupation fundamentally without a clarity to who and how sovereignty is being turned over, we have a very serious problem from the long run here and I think this administration is just walking dead center down into that trap," Kerry said. Would someone ask Kerry what "people" he's talking about? Given, the media reports badly but he should know better...or doesn't care. He's starting to spout French/Jazeera like talking points. Or he's communicating overseas like Osama does with his videos...

"I think the June 30 deadline is a fiction and they never should have set an arbitrary deadline, which almost clearly has been affected by the election schedule in the United States of America," Kerry told National Public Radio in an interview to be broadcast Wednesday.
ALMOST CLEARLY???? He sure sounds certain. Jean Francophone Cherie has almost clearly been hittin' Ted the Swimmer's liquor cabinet again.

I just cannot believe how politically inept the Kerry camp is. Instead of saying something sensible and moderate like "With US troops engaged in battle, now is not the time for a debate on Iraq" he makes ANOTHER rabid anti-Bush attack! This may make his base feel all warm and fuzzy but it does NOTHING to help him with the independents! This guy gives new meaning to the word STUPID!

John Kerry has never set foot in Iraq. What does he know?
It may very well be that "stability" in Iraq is an impossibility, or put positively, is always going to be a work in progress. The June 30th deadline was seen as a feasible date for the transfer of authority in Iraq, from the Coalition, to an interim Iraqi government. That date is still feasible. It doesn't mean that the crazies will be under control by June 30th.

Bush questions Kerry's daisy. Kerry has no answers, only questions. Whose daisy was that?
