Mike, I can't thank you enough for posting that link to the 1911 forum.

I've run less than two hundred rounds through my ultra, and I'm already seeing the "shiny spot" on the frame. Your input prompted me to buy the Wilson followers before my thousand dollar pistol started looking rough.

BTW, Kimber is NOT receptive to fixing the problem. Shooters, take note.

I heard some very sad news. Heckler and Koch has discontinued their production of the .45 UMP submachine gun. I guess there weren't enough customers for the firearm.
