Ben-Veniste Attacks Rice’s Testimony: Using Truth to Tell a Lie

I remember seeing 2 interviews on CNN with Ben Laden in the late 90s. The interviews made me mad as Osauma was very critical of the US. Shortly after the last interview, Osauma was put on the FBIs most wanted list. I recall thinking why didn't they ask CNN where he was.

These 2 interviews were more important than the PDB. However, both of these interviews were on Clinton's watch. CNN would edit them now.

While we are on the subject of using truth to tell a lie, some recognition is due to John Kerry, soon to be Democrat nominee for President. This week he reinvented the “Misery Index,” throwing out one statistic that had been used for decades, and adding seven others not used before, to produce the result he sought.

Is this a an indication of things to come in a would-be Kerry Administration? If the economy turns bad, would he change the calculations so the problem magically disappears? Kerry is not worse than Ben-Veniste; he is simply more obvious.

Before his campaign ends he will probably have the NYTimes trying to convince everyone that we are in the 2nd "Great Depression". 'Course, recent history shows that people now generally believe what they personally observe within their own environment rather than what they are being told by the newspapers.

I don't understand the whining about Ben-Veniste. Every one knew he was a lying scumbag POS when he was appointed to the Commission and, in fact, long before. Why is everyone so exercized when he behaves exactly as predicted? He has no interest to find fact, his only interest is to try to make Bush look bad so, by comparison, Scunbag Willie doesn't look as filthy or corrupt as he did. And, any one who is surprised by Ben performing as should have been predicted, simply does not understand crap weasel motovation.

I have avoided watching most of this Partisan Democrat farce as the urge to barf hit me early in the very first session. I had awaited Dr. Rice's testimony with relish though, knowing she was ready, willing and able to lay the facts out there for all to see. She didn't disappoint me.

It wasn't just that Ben-Veniste clown who was in attack mode, though he was the most vicious. Every Democrat on the committee, right down to weasly Bob Kerrey took their turn's trying to bully and rattle her, like ambulance chasers usually reserve for hostile witnesses in a big bucks (for lawyers) trial. Hee,Hee, Dr. Rice came across like not only the only adult in the room , but the only civilized, bipartisan and honest person in the room.

If President Bush doen't do everything he can to groom Dr.Rice to follow him into the Oval 0ffice in 2008, I will be very disappointed.

For what it's worth, a co-worker who's not given to political observations brought up the hearings today, incensed at the Dems' viciousness, and contrasted it with Condoleeza Rice's dignified defense of the truth and her articulate testimony.

The hearings seem to be having the same effect the Paul Wellstone Funerally had.

BEN-VENISTE: I asked you what the title was.

He stopped. She reminded him of the complete question.

A transparent deception which she caught on to quickly.

Ben-Veniste's cute little effort to turn what was supposed to be a non-partisan, non-"Gotcha" search for truth into a partisan cross-examination of someone Democrats know to be a prime GOP contender for future high office, was disgusting. ...... I was at the hearing. Ben-Veniste made me want to go to the front of the rooom and tear his throat out. What a shark! He even has the teeth.
