Group pushes homosexuality acceptance for toddlers

Redmond, Washington, Apr. 13 (LifesiteNews.com/CWN) - A Redmond, Washington, organization of day care professionals has begun to advocate the normalization of the homosexual lifestyle to pre-school children in day care. The Childcare Exchange has two articles on its website exploring the possible methods to teach very small children to accept and practice homosexual behavior and cross-dressing.

One article, "Healthy Sexuality Development in Young Children," recommends allowing boys and girls to wear opposite sex clothing in "dramatic play centers," and "stories will be read that include a variety of family configurations." The authors recommend teaching day care children about masturbation saying, "Children who masturbate will be guided to understand that this is personal behavior and is appropriate for private time but not group time...."

In another article, "Developing Sexual Identity Through Play, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Tolerance," author Lynn Baynum describes a defining moment in her son's development when she told him that "today we use the word 'gay' to describe two adults of the same sex living together as a family."

George A. Rekers, Ph.D., research director for child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, writes in his article on childhood Gender Identity Disorder, that children are vulnerable to confusion in the development of their sexual identity. He writes of a certain "trend for certain vocal elements in education and the media in American culture to sharply question the legitimacy of many, if not all, sex role distinctions in the socialization of children."

In group time it will be known as a "circle jerk."

This fossil concurs. I posed the question because I honestly don't know the answer.

Why are we even discussing sexuality with pre-schoolers. They are usually into things like coloring, matchbox cars, dolls, dirt, and teddy bears.

Last time I checked most pre-school aged kids had just mastered the fine art of using modern indoor toilets and these people are worried about explaining sexual behaviors?

I gotta tell I musta missed something.

If I were a gay parent, I would just say no. But I am not. But I think gay parents, unlike most here, are probably good and conscientious parents. But on this particular issue, they might lose their good judgment. Andrew Sullivan is exhibit A in that regard. He has endorsed judicial fiat to further what is dear to him - a most lamentable lapse.

These are the same lieberals who would tell us these kids are not "allowed to have a childhood" or "grow up too fast".

Doesn't Hollywierd have a whole police series about freaks like these "educators"... I thinks it's called "Law and Order SVU".... One of the few shows I actually watch (unless it contains overt slams against the military or the President...getting harder to find programing that does not contain those things)

By the way, that gay guy, who is the most effective advocate for gay marriage on the scene at present, and also a "conservative," whose name escapes me, rejects judicial fiat unlike Sullivan. He favors letting states go their own way, which is a more clever strategy for gay marriage proponents at present, and one that as you know, I also reject. I'm into fair process. But then I'm a lawyer.

I normally just ignore the homosexual threads here at FreeRepublic.

I'm a 74 year old grandma with a wonderful grandson who visits me often and telephones me almost every day. He's 16 and a sophomore in high school.

He used my Internet Explorer this evening while I was doing the dishes, as he was nice enough to join me for dinner. When I logged on later in the evening, I hit the pull down address menu in IE and was somewhat surprised to see two websites that I do not normally visit: thestudnextdoor.com and bearfur.com

I'm shocked. These are homo websites. What's a gradma to do?

It is an interesting question because there are various forces acting in different directions. I suspect there are many, the folks who don't attend the parades in leather and rubber, who would feel intense pressure to avoid this school like the plague. On the other hand there would seem to be inherent forces within that sees no problem with the behavior.

And then there is the protectiveness that every parent feels. I suspect children of homosexual couples would attend the school at only slightly higher rates than their heterosexual counterparts in that geographical location.

If we were serious about this nature vs nurture debate we would take about one hundred children, split them into two groups of 50 and set one group loose in the zoo apart from the other animals and provide food and shelter only while we put the other 50 in the homes of the top 50 medical professionals in the country from all disciplines and then revisit them in about 20 years.

I'm confused on the unlike most here part of the comment.

It may have just been the way I read it though (it's late). I would reguard myself as a probably good and conscientious person, or else I would not belong to FR.

Offer to take the guy out to dinner, and have a nice chat. Try to point out the downside legacy of going gay, and there is a downside legacy, but if that is his choice, based on hard wiring or otherwise (and it is a continuum, some are hard wired, some are closer to the tipping point, and some are just experimenting), you will love him nonetheless. Just a suggestion.

What I guessed, is that most here don't think gay or lesbian parents, are conscientious and good parents. I hope that helps.

You can't be certain about what's right for your child if you're unsure of yourself.

I know a guy who swallows his toenails after he chews them off one layer at a time; lately I've caught myself staring at my feet.
