A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos) - 4.16.04
YAHOO, WHITE HOUSE | 4/16/04

President George W. Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair arrive in the Rose Garden of the White House April 16, 2004 for a joint statement and press conference. Bush and Blair called on the Palestinians and their supporters to use Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon 's West Bank plan as an opportunity for creating a Palestinian state. They also took questions from the partisan Press on Iraq and the usual question prepared for them from the DNC

I envision this as the way blubba's publisher finally got words on paper for billyjeff's "book."

Publishing agent, John Doe, is assigned job to edit the book.
After a reasonable period of phone calls and promises in which no chapters are issued, publisher sends editor to blubba's hut in person.
After lots of Hi, how ya doing? happy talk, still no chapters.
John Doe moves into blubba's hut.
John Doe starts tape recording blubba as he blathers about the good old days in the WH.
John Doe renegotiates his contract to be co-author.
John Doe writes the book.

"Two STRONG leaders..."

Being a Labor Party stalwart and Clinton buddy, I never had much use fer Blair...but he's been rock-solid on the War on Terrorism and I hope the British electorate appreciates that the next time the PM comes up fer reelection.

Alsace is a favorite region of aggressors to receive a pasting throughout Western European history. We are so fortunate here in America not to live in a land ravaged extensively by war.

I was just about to put in that DVD for another viewing. I love it; it makes me eager for similar types of true representations to be written and produced from the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.

My husband's ancestry are dirt poor WV folk, and I did a bit of looking around for his mom with the geneology stuff. I found it fascinating.

Oh that is so true. I was fortunate to visit Alsace a couple of times. There are still shell/bomb craters in the forest, and a few German "pillboxes" (concrete sniper hideouts). Many of the little villages still have some walls riddled with bulletholes. Rather creepy, and sad.
My grandfather got us lost on a visit to his hometown, insisting he knew where he was going. It was sad- all the streets had the same names, but not everything was in the same place. My mother spent the war in Cairo though, but there was a great deal of fighting in North Africa, and she told tales of air raids and rationing. I am very thankful to have grown up here in the good ole US of A.

All you need is strength to see the DemonscumRATS!!

Guitar break #1:

GoodPeople get ready fer the Jihad 'Gainst Clinton!!
Right's sendin' out messengers from coast to coast!
TRUTH is the key!! Reject RATS' WHORE'D...Ignore 'em!!
There's hope for all among those loved the most.

Guitar break #2 (w/key change to D):

TRUTH's Been Exhumed...Slick's a hopeless sinner...
Who would hurt all mankind just to save his own!!
Seek Justice fer those whose TREASON kills children...
For there's no hotter place than where Bill Clinton's goin'!!

Right now I'm dragging. Spent yesterday and today with my daughter and grandkids. We took advantage of the weather and got in lots of neat pitch and catch, etc. time outside! But good stuff comes at a cost: This is the first time in memory I've spent two days in a row outside my home, so I'm probably going to have to head to bed early. No night owl stuff for me tonight.
