Those hooves are just about perfect. With the wool being on that long the mutton from this guy would be awful. Was Shrek a ram, whether, or doe? If this had been in the US or a warm climate, maggots would have been a problem.

A 60lb wool overcoat. Do sheep ever get heat stroke?

Actually, the wool works as insulation. It protects the animal from the cold as well as the heat.

I didn't even know that sheep could become Rastafarians.

"The real problem with sheep left unshorn for years is that often they will lay down and not be able to get up because of the weight of the wool. The advantage of not shearing every year is that they are usually too heavy to jump fences...:)"

And, it's probably also a good thing it's dry where he was. If he fell into a creek or a lake, or if that stuff had gotten waterlogged...

Do sheep ever get heat stroke?

,,, shearing season kicks in well before the height of summer. This is timed to take the heat off them but allowing a margin of time for grow back so they don't get sunburn.

they are usually too heavy to jump fences

,,, as long as there's plenty of pasture I doubt the thought of jumping fences would ever cross their minds. Goats and deer jump fences though.

,,, I know, you want to ride the new and improved slim Merino. Your carpark around the back of the shearing shed still has the RESERVED sticker on it. Ready when you aaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Shrek looked a little disorientated when the shearing was over, but seemed to adjust to his new shape quickly.

Sounds like the recruits after their boot camp haircuts are done. Guys didn't know where to "fall in" because they didn't recognize the guy standing next to them without his long locks.

Hey, a sheep version of a Marine cut. Good on yer, Woolly.
