Since when does it take "training" for adults to treat people like human beings?

This may be "tin hat " but it is not out of the realm of possibility the photos was a setup by the demon rats.

I can't remember if I read this in the report or in another article but it was found that one unit was in one prison that only had 100 prisoners and another was in Abu guarding 6,000. Of course there were also IP at Abu. It looks to me like the BG never did rounds, never checked on her unit, never requested additional forces, never passed on that there was a problem. I guess all this will come out in her trial.

That is my point exactly. We are so shocked!!!! about the behavior of these soldiers but shocked b/c no one supervised them. Yeah, their supervisors were lax but does an adult need to be told how to treat another human being?? What does that say about our culture?

OK, I am going to do some thinking here, so bear with me:

1. We know these photos were not taken to document the abuse. They were posed pictures in most shots I have seen.

2. The poses of the guards were over the top...mugging for the camera, pointing, etc.

3. Many of the MP's have said they were "following orders" and point to the MI and civilian contractors.

4. One civilian contractor left in February and has given an interview to the leftist Guardian in Britain, saying that there were lots of innocent people in that prison. This contractor was a Dean supporter. (I ask myself why a Dean supporter would sign up to interview Iraq prisoners.)

I think it quite possible that there are motives for these pictures other than souvenirs and showing off by a bunch of low-lifes. I won't speculate further at this time, but something is not quite right about this.

Possibly.

Then there is the question that my WWII vet Father asked; "What happened to the military War Censers and the rules of no diaries, personal journals or cameras?"

As much as I dislike Hackworth the one good phrase/lesson of his that IMO the BG obviously never learned was "Get your @** in the grass! You can't command from behind a desk!"
