They think they damn him with praise. In really, they're just testifying to something Rush has said repeatedly for awhile now: true greatness speaks for itself. Reagan would still be great if no one said a word about him. Its that's obvious.

Reagan's official biographer, Lou Cannon, did a masterful job of impartially, accurately and vividly transcribing the thoughts of Reagan during his years as Governor, president and ex-president, interpreting them in the fairest possible manner and then giving us his own perspective on Reagan's policies.

I read his profile of Reagan during his years as governor of California-the body of reportage occurring when Cannon was assigned to the capital beat by the San Jose Mercury-News-and was immediately enthralled.

Anyone who is looking for a fine biography of our former president should rush to their local bookstore or public library and pick up that book.

I must protest seeing Kennedy and Reagan in the same thread as I protest seeing Clinton and Reagan in the same thread.

Well, fasten your seat belt because Clinton told MSNBC he would be at the funeral to pay his respects. Honestly, I don't begrudge him that. As an ex-president he should attend.

I wonder which foreign leaders will attend? I am very curious to know if Gorbachev will attend.

If anyone ever deserved a state funeral it is definitely Ronald Reagan.
