And Bremer has already left Iraq!!!
Amazing.
And Zarqawi may have been captured!!!
Magnificent.
I wonder where Negroponte is..........LOL.
The American Brig Gen spokesman in Iraq says that is not true now.
He will be in the new U.S. embassy in Baghdad. The biggest embassy in the world.
I think our Ambassador has already presented his credentials to Iraq's President. We will still play a major role in Iraq for some years to come. Today was a milestone but the country has yet to have its first free elections. The violence makes holding them impossible for the forseeable future.
Yep. And it will be as tightly guarded by U.S troops as the old "Green Zone" civil administration headquarters was.
I heard a report somewhere over the weekend that regular Iraqis are tired of all the violence and are starting to take action.

Oh, thanks for that!! Reading it now...
Just been watching for an hour..can one surmise that Rather, Brokaw, Jennings were NOT invited to attend?
Somebody said Jennings was there, but the rest of them sent stringers.........LOL.
I'll wager the weren't told...for security reasons..
I just woke up and heard this news.
What a great idea. A surprise EARLY handover.
Strategerie triumphs once again.
Moore just vomited in bed and is now floating in his own vomit.

"ending the controversial 14 month occupation"....."
handing over powers after their hegemonial occupation of the victim state Iraq to its puppet leaders"....
SUCCUMBING TO THE OVERWHELMING AND VICTORIOUS PRESSURES OF THE HOLY JIHAD BY SURRENDERING ALL PAPERS AND DOCUMENTS TO THE MUSLIM VICTORS!!!"
Bremer has received a fair amount of criticism from both sides of the aisle. Has he not performed very well in a very difficult situation?
IMHO Paul Bremer has done a great job. He deserves an office in the Bush Administration next term. Maybe Secretary of State if Colin Powell doesn't stay.
There goes Al-Qaidas plans to disrupt it and the dimrats plans to say "It failed".

Thanks.

How many talk shows is this guy going to be on between now and the election ?
Woohoo !
Are you kidding? Where did you hear this? Oh God, if that`s true the dimrats would be having seizures. This early handover not only upsets Al Qaidas plans but the dimrats plans to stage a huge "It failed" rally.
YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

US administrator Paul Bremer signs the official document that hands over power to an Iraqi interim government. Iraq will need to overcome numerous obstacles, including two nationwide elections and a constitutional referendum, before regaining full sovereignty and a democratic government at the end of next year or in 2006.(AFP/US Military/HO)
Unfortunately, the report has been denied.
The timing of this vis a vis the fat slob's propoganda film is pretty sweet.
btt
Does America get a bonus for finishing the job early?
Excellent. Now the terrorists in Iraq are not attacking the US andcoalition, but Iraq as a nation. Great move.
Exactly. They'll be confronting Iraqis, not Americans as we cede more and more responsibility to Iraq's growing security forces.
Yes, and the new Iraqi gov't is calling the terrorists "infidels". Now we're talking.
Yep... it's called "four more years."

What happened to the new Iraqi flag?
That looks like the old flag, although the arabic in the middle between the stars may be different?
Paul Bremer deserves the Medal of Freedom! Talk about a tough, thankless job. Thank you Mr. Bremer.
I had heard sometime ago that the Iraq flag was being redesigned. The first one's colors were too close to the flag of Israel.
Heck, I guess Betsy Ross didn't get it right the first time either!
Sadam's trial to follow shortly?
LOL... Over on DU, they're speculating that the early handover was all a sneaky Bush plot to distract attention from F 9/11.

Nope. Just a happy by product.
MOVEON, DU AND HOLLYWOOD, along with media wants turmoil. They hate freedom and a leader who does what he says he will do..........
I went to bed last night praying for Iraq and our world leaders and even prayed for the evil ones, then woke this a.m. at 5:00 turned on Fox and saw where we made the turnover early.... a great move which will save our soilders lives. God Bless President Bush.

Thank you, Mr. Bremer -
for a job well done!
May God Richly Bless You!
I just went over to DU....what a bunch of sick malcontents.
Bremer had one tough gig. No doubt about it. And the DUmmies are calling him a coward. Like to see em say it to his face.
