I honestly believe the writer of this book INTENDS or hopes to put ideas in some whacko's head.

Craig Kilborne redux?

Excellent post about the socialist revolution that they want.

I wish that every voter would get a copy of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals - the tome that Hillary got her MO from while learning at Alinsky's knee - to inoculate themselves against their manipulation, maneuvering and machinations.

For them, consciences are for sissies. They're playing for keeps - we have to do the same. But with consciences, ethics, and determination.

Letterman was really pro-Bush until Hillary made her appearance on his show during her run for the Senate, then he left the Bush camp and has been trashing and mocking him ever since. It's very upsetting. I can't watch him anymore.

I understand your distress, I truly do. But try to remember that causing your distress and trying to wear you down is precisely what they hope to accomplish.

The President is as safe as anybody possibly can be.

As for Letterman, he never gets my attention or time. If it makes you feel better, write to his sponsors and write to the show telling them that you are. THAT should get somebody's attention.

they also are releasing a new "manchurian candidate"... the buzz is that Meryl Streep used too many "hillary" mannerisms in her Angela Landsbury role of wicked mother, so they are editing out some of the obvious parts...

I'm old enough to remember they pulled Manchurian candidate from the screens and wouldn't show it on TV after Kennedy's assasination...

BTW: Who is nicolas baker? What else has he written?

I prefer Janet Evanovitch myself....

The day after the election, some socialist moonbat is going to start plotting the next Oklahoma City...

...for the children, of course.

Nut. Pervert. Say what you will. The same thing could be said of someone reading the Turner Diaries. All that's required is that the right combination of hate and imbalance get together and we have a home grown disaster. The same thing that caused the OKC bombing. Here we are: doing al-Quadas work for them.

True. This is Turner Diaries stuff. But it will not play well in the larger universe of the electorate. They are less divided than the media and the political elites suspect.

However, I too am afraid that the agitation from the Michael Moore wing of the party has bought a rationalization for some Democrat to try and kill the President. Consider is some Lone Nutcase decided that he was the modern version of Col. Klaus Schenck von Stauffenberg.

When you start to believe that Bush is Hitler, all things are possible.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

"In the latter days I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and the young men will see visions, and the old men will dream dreams and the daughters will prophesy"

It is no surprise that many authors are prescient regarding the days events, even the experience you had as an author in which the day's events occured almost as you had written them into being.

The Holy Spirit works in the world to convict men of sin, it is no surprise that increasingly, even in fiction authors seem to be writing of things that actually come to pass.

A couple of more classical examples would be those Jules Verne and HG Wells who wrote of laser weapons and nuclear power and even space travel decades before even the sciences had developed sufficiently to begin to develop such concepts.

You may not necessarily be religious and you may not agree completely with me....but at least agree that there seems to be latent gift that some have of being able to unconsciously extrapolate and cogently combine the trends and movements of the era into fictionalized tomes that end up being uncomfortable reflections of true reality!

You know, after some thought, I believe you are right about the electorate. This sort of idiocy will serve to point up the irrationality of the lib position. It seems that there is something of a backlash factor that the left fails to recognize. This is, no doubt a critical moment in US history. Let's just hope we manage to pass the test.I do recall Einsteins statement:"There are two things that are infinit; human stupidity and the universe. And I'm not so sure about the universe."

If this is anything like Baker's other books, then I'd bet it's not as simple as the article implies. Though I'm sure his politics run far left, I imagine the author considers it a meditation on impotent anger, or something like that.

He can be a wonderful writer, though I've never read anything of his with political themes.
