The ruling tipped the balance against Democratic contender and then vice president Al Gore...
When was the balance ever in favor of Al Gore? Another media slant of history.

I guess she's extremely worried that bus loads of liberal college students will go to the Quad Cities and attempt to vote in 3 different state elections again. Also, there's always the deep concern that Democratic operatives will give bottles of cheap wine to homeless people in order to get them to vote for John Kerry. Just like these operatives did for Al Gore. These are all legitimate concerns and I'm very glad that our congress has taken action to make sure these things don't happen again.

I notice that they've gone out of their way to not mention any political parties either. "Representatives" and "Lawmakers", but no D, R or I.
Not that there's much doubt.
I just tend to watch when an article says "some", "a few", "several", "critics" etc. Weasel Words.

Who are these nine lawmakers??
Not sure. Just saw this on Drudge and figured I would post it before lunch. It came off of Yahoo News, with little background. I hoped someone else would know more. Besides, it is a Friday before my favorite holiday, and I wanted to post one more thing before taking my Tin Foil Hat off for the long weekend.

Wouldn't a more accurate headline for this nonsense be, "Nutball Democrats want UN to intervene in American elections if they don't win."

Even if they do try to come, it won't matter squat. They have no authority.

I know some of you might want to vote for some other party.
But things like this make for a very restless day for me.
These Dims need to be voted out of our Government.
This makes me want to spit!
My husband would say to me..........
Honey, that doesn't sound like you! Sorry!

Did that happen? I just moved to the QC, and would like to know more about that.
On a side note, I forgot just how far eastern Iowa has slid down that slippery slope.

Yep, but who's paying attention? As T.S. Eliot wrote:

The Congressional Black Caucus needn't worry. I'll be monitoring my polling place with a digital video camera, MagLite, CCW, and a black T-shirt that says: "
INS supporter".
Not wwhat they had in mind, I'm sure.

The UN has been in America on American soil without any rights afforded us for years. Kentucky is the sate I believe and there are more.
The UN is no stranger to US soil as a soverign foreign authority.
Sorry to be the one with the bad news.

an even better question, WHAT would they DO if (when) they
"discovered irregularities"? declare the result void?
this is NOT a small issue; this is treasonous.

Next it will be blue berets running around the streets in APCs!
