Hume looks to be going after the story. Asking ALL the right questions.
Basically the main topic was whether the other Swift Boat people would have been considered as "serving" with John Kerry.
Lt Col Bill Cowan who served on a Swift Boat said "Absolutely!" In FACT, someone on another boat might be able to BETTER see what was going on on Kerry's boat than the men on the boat themselves because they have a panoramic view of the scene.
Yesterday Hume kept saying that it was a matter of character (Kerry's). He's a bit too diplomatic and polite and should just come out and say, this whole thing is a matter of whether Kerry is a liar. That's the important issue for voters.
Rassmann was a Green Beret and he was on a navy boat.
He missed the fact that Kerry had made a Cambodia claim just last year and it is even on his website. Maybe he his leaving that for one of his All-stars.;)

I believe he was with the Marines. Possibly in some kind of special ops capacity. As such, he would have operated with all sorts of other units, including swiftboats.
Cowan did a wonderful job. He said every swift boat went out in groups. You always knew what was going on in the other boats. He said there was absolutely NO WAY Kerry was in Cambodia when he said he was there. He said the Viet Cong would have sunk the boat inside Cambodia and there would be an international incident. I thought the entire interview was very positive for the Swift Boat Vets.
Just heard them, and without any doubt lends truth to the story. Moveon.com and Sorros are going to try and sink the swift boats and I think we need to do whatever we can to keep them afloat. Kerry is a liar..and if you listened to Hannity's radio show today, you could tell pretty quickly what is happening. I cannot get over the way Kerry makes everything work to his advantage. A horror story for America would be a win for him.
Also the swiftees are highly decorated, long or at least normal tours of duty heroes. I want to know how Kerry gets away with calling his "fellow" highly decorated veterans liars. Aren't they at least as unassailable as Kerry? And there's a lot more of them.
Cowan was a Marine Lt. Col. The Marines are a branch of the Navy.

Aren't the Democrats getting tired of this non stop Abbu Gahraib story. The story involved about 5 soldiers. Good Grief!!!!!

Hah! We must be making headway on the Swift Boat Vets story, then, if they're rummaging through the old news to find a subject-changer!
If Kerry loses, the news organizations, ABC,CBS,NBC and CNN and the New York Times and associate papers intend to bring the prison stuff up again to impeach Bush. Rush has talked about this several times. They don't have anything else and thinks this has legs. It doesn't.
Of course they are.
This is typical Lanny Davis strategy. Get the bad news out there and let people get to hear what liars everyone else is until the bad news is boring.
