He isn't talking about people who do not agree with the President on things. He is talking about idiots like COURAGE, churchillbuff, POA2, and the other trolls who do NOTHING but go from thread to thread telling us how evil Bush is, how stupid Bush is, how "Bush is Toast", "we must warm up to President Kerry", and "Kerry will win (insert any number above 300) of electoral votes".
Unless I'm mistaken, unless HE'S mistaken, FR will close down 60 days before the election this November.
After all, if he's not mistaken, and FR's "only goal in 2004 is to help re-electing President Bush", then I don't think the current CFR leaves any alternative.
If you would only stop right there, I would agree with you wholeheartedly.......actually, on reflection, no. I can't support that blanket definition of a conservative. Re-elect GW, yes, but not because a "real and smart conservative" can do nothing else.
This real and smart conservative, who did demonstrate his support for Bush in DC in 2000 and since, can conceive of the possibility of doing otherwise.
This real conservative would be on the streets demonstrating against GW if he went over to the dark side and became as criminal as the Clintons. I took personal and career risks in demonstrating against Clinton in front of the White House. Don't think I wouldn't do the same if Bush lost his mind.
If Bush had lost his mind and pushed for support of renewing the AWB, as he said he would just one year ago, this real conservative would now be contemplating voting for somebody else, because GW would have betrayed himself as even less of a conservative that he really is.
