Didn't see the C-SPAN broadcast, but have seen photos of him sitting there. Fatigues at a formal Congressional hearing - wrong. Wearing ribbons on fatigues - wrong. Again, fatigues were the brown water Navy and Marine assigned HM (hospital corpsman) equivalence to blue water Navy dungerees - no ribbons or medals, whatever the citation. They were strictly a "working" uniform. The other branches may have had other regs.

But then I could be incorrect about the uniform regs of that time...don't think so, since I joined in '75. Plus, wasn't he inactive Reserves which has less stringent uniform and political participation enforcement than active Reserves? BTW, there are also uniform regs governing retirees and veterans.

No, it won't be. I've waited years for combat Nam vets to speak out. I wasn't there, but I had a couple friends who came back to the hatred and who were never the same - one committed suicide. I will never forgive Hanoi Jane, Hanoi Kerry, and their ilk for their contribution to my friends' misery. I despise and wish the deepest depths of hell for them.

Both my father and I served - he at the beginning and during tet - me at the end during the evacuation. The damage that kerry and his group did to this country is incalculable. Because of his deceit we began to mistrust our fellow countrymen in a way never seen prior to vietnam. Because of his efforts, vnvets have lived lives of quiet desperation - because their lone voice could never drown out the horrendous stories about atrocities woven by kerry and his ilk.

I'm trying to find some pictures of just that. Do you by chance remember where you saw that at?
I've seen the standard pics with his ribbons showing, but I've yet to find one with any medals visible.
Am I missing something on those pics?
