LOL, then you missed his round table love fest with Chrissy Matthews on the last two nights of the RAT convention then :-)

Let's see (flipping through channels) Chris Matthews is on. Too bad, I'll never watch him again. (CLICK) OK, let's try FOX. Uh oh, Bill O'Reilly. (CLICK!!) I won't watch him either.

These two punks, Matthews and O'Reilly, never should have dissed John O'Neill. Never! I won't forget it.

Merrie Spaeth co-starred with Peter Sellers in "The World of
Henry Orient" when she was a teenager. She got good reviews, but decided against a film acting career.

Her father was a top opthamologist
in Philadelphia, who treated my Dad successfully for a serious disease of the optic nerve, saving him from blindness.

Just heard O'Reilly say the SBV story will be gone by next week. What an ignorant ass.

I sure hope everyone gets how significant Merrie Spaeth's interview is.
What a fabulously believable guest she was.
How she answered the false charge that she is connected to the Bush White House. (She's not on the White House webpage except on a list as a White HOuse Fellow)
She gave a snappy lesson on Texas politics, and how the Kerry people have completely misrepresented her late husband's connection to the then Governor Bush.

She was gentle but firm, that the Kerry's misrepresentations would be hard to decipher by people unfamiliar with Texas politics, but it would have been easy for reporters to report on what was true and what was not. She gently chided them for not doing so.

Joe had her repeat several times her denial that she had anything to do with the South Carolina republican primary. She couldn't tell Joe what agency handled any of it, but it wasn't her agency. She said the agency who handled the New York republican primary that also charged Bush with unfair attacks on McCain, has writtten a letter to the New YOrk Times to clear her name of any involvement, but she doesn't know who handled South Carolina.

this blows away Kerry's main line of attack on Bush being involved with the Swifties. And JOhn McCain should reconsider allowing his face and words to be used INCORRECTLY, in a Kerry ad.

Merrie said she has only advised the Swifties to tell the truth. She explained how impressed she was when they called and asked how they should proceed, how to present themselves to the public. She said she was so honored to know them.

OMG, he really said that, "most Americans are too stupid" .. does he realize he just lost thousands of UNDECIDED voters. I keep saying this group will deep six themselves with their pompous a$$ arrogance.

thanks for the personal information on Merrie. She was certainly gracious tonight, wasn't she? I don't know if MSNBC will provide a transcript, but oh boy! I hope so.

ANY reporter, anchor, or talking head who lets a Kerry operative get away with accusing Bush/Rove of coordinating with the Swifties, because of their connections to Merrie Spaeth, should be slapped silly for lying.

No cable here. Was Merrie Spaeth the blonde teenager, or the brunette? They were both really good, and that was a very nice "small" movie, although it left a lasting impression on me (I saw it about 25 years ago). Tom Bosley and Angela Lansbury were in it to, as well as (IIRC) that cooky guy who played the grandfather in the Munsters (or was it the Addams Family?)

The way Chrissy Matthews treated Michelle Maulkin and how Bill O'Reilly has treated the Swift Boat Vets for Truth will come back to embarrass them both.

Merrie Spaeth is THE BIG GET interview!

You are not kidding. She was great. Very poised and articulate.

I have no idea what possessed me to turn to MSNBC, and I cannot explain why I didn't click when the koolaid chick was on, but it was so worth it to stumble on Ms. Spaeth.

I hope we see more of her.

Kerry's first Purple Heart was awarded when he launched a grenade from a M-79 grenade launcher and it bounced off some rocks and exploded near his Boston Whaler. He received a small fragment of shrapnel in his forearm and it was removed by Dr. Letson and a topical solution and a band-aid was applied and he returned to duty, NO MISSED DUTY.

The third PH was for him and James Rassman tossing grenades into a Rice bin and Kerry got rice and some grenade fragments in his thigh and the cheek of his ass on March 13th, 1969. NO MISSED DUTY,

The next day John Kerry applied for early departure and he was out of Vietnam on March 19th, 1969
