-the image of the dems sending a cripple in a wheelchair to do their dirty work for a photo op is just toooo funny. What lows wouldn't they stoop to? I certainly hope this doesn't happen.

I don't suppose the name of Kerry's MoveOn.org hire, Zack Exley, ever came up?

Didn't think so :)

Stephy and Gibby are engaging in inside-the-Beltway wishful thinking. The chattering classes hope that it turns for Kerry, so they're going to assume it will.

Remember how bugged we were two days ago at the false stories that Bush had specifically condemned the Swift Boat ads? Those misreported headlines have made it far more difficult for the Kerry people to argue that Bush has to condemn those ads. The liberal media shot itself in the foot.

Yes, when it comes to unseemly stunts, this might just be a new low. As long as they're at it, why doesn't the Kerry campaign have Cleland crawl the last few yards to W's front door?

Of course since he is in a wheel chair we aren't supposed to look at the vicious things that he has said about President Bush's national guard service.

Wow... I was waiting for the live boy or dead girl to be exposed in President Bush's bed - and it ended with sending Max Cleland to Crawford. So much build-up for so little. Even libs can do better.

I often receive replies along the lines of yours. I respect the sentiment, but as I always explain, I watch out of a combo of masochism and the belief that it's useful to keep an eye on what the other side - which still has an audience of many millions - is up to.

And to the best of my knowledge, viewing by non-Nielsen families does not affect ratings.

Regarding Cleland's letter to Bush, I heard that Cleland specifically states that the 527 ads which are anti-Bush should continue, and only the anti-Kerry 527's should be pulled.

In related news to your comment (and let's all give a big 'eww' on that one!), GMA followed the Swift Boat segment with a piece on what ABC apparently hopes will be a growing rift between Dick Cheney and W over the gay marriage issue.

I have all these news guys' posters on my bedroom wall, blank side facing out.

Some think my protests are an empty exercise in moral vanity.

But I believe I am taking the war to my bedroom.

Maybe, if we ever defeat this enemy, there will again be a place for Bobbby Sherman and David Cassidy.

Wow! That is devastating. Now perhaps John Kerry can answer a few simple questions to keep this story alive, and further devastate the Bush campaign:

* When exactly were you in Cambodia, with whom, and in what Vehicle?

* What day did your boat hit the mine which sent the dog flying?

* Which atrocities did you personally commit in VietNam, or have firsthand knowledge of at the time?

* Where exactly were you when your anti-War group proposed the assassination of US Senators? Have you changed your views on assassinating Senators over the years?

* Will you please sign a form 180 so that we can get even more devastating material that will backfire on the Bush Administration?

* Is it morally acceptible to smear former Hanoi Hilton inmates who took torture for 6 1/2 years as "petty and pathetic"?

* Under what circumstances should a book be banned?

* You said that Unfit For Command was full of lies, and now your campaign has admitted that several of its points are absolutely true. Will you retract your lawsuits against the TV stations running the Swiftboat Ads?

* If it was learned that one of your campaign workers had ties to a 527 group, would you fire them?

* How are you going to make health care less expensive by suing all the health care providers out of business?

I'm surprised Kerry isn't using Max as a hood ornament on his campaign bus.

By the way, do Cleland and, for that matter, McCain say about Kerry's Winter Soldier "war crimes" testimony! Do they think he was telling the truth? That it was a youthful indescretion? Or maybe that don't want to re-open "old wounds"?

Of course since he is in a wheel chair we aren't supposed to look at the vicious things that he has said about President Bush's national guard service.

In addition to his slandering of W's military service, Cleland has called W a liar in terms that might make Michael moore blush.

"Cleland, a national co-chairman of Kerry's campaign, described the Bush administration's arguments that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and ties to al-Qaeda terrorists, as a "pack of lies."

The former lawmaker from the southern state of Georgia defended the vote that he, Kerry and others cast in the Senate to authorize military intervention in Iraq, saying the Congress was "flat-out lied to."

Asked whether they were lied to by the intelligence services or the White House, he said emphatically: "By the president, by the vice president and by the secretary of defense."

"Now why did Bush go to war in Iraq? Because he concluded that his daddy was a failed president and one of the ways he failed was that he did not take out Saddam Hussein," Cleland said, referring to the 1991 Gulf war.

I happened to catch this show this morning, it was much worse than a love fest , it actually sucked.

As for Max maybe if they could get some broken glass for him to have to crawl through for the last few yards that would help too. Kerry is right its pathetic, and Kerry is making it that way.
