the crotchety lifeless hulls on this thread need to get a life!

Ouch! Right on target though. They obviously were not talking everyone's language...but they came off as a typical early 20s woman put in that situation. R-E-A-L.

Arnold was so impressive, was that on the alphabet channels too? I know Laura was.... I was out and when I came home Laura was on NBC- I was shocked that the liberals would give an election to us so easily by allowing for us to speak to the public without filters.... shocked.

"I can't stand all the pandering to young people's expectations of "cool."

I never could stand that, even when I was young and loved to have fun (and still do).

It's an attitude we had to endure during the eight years of the immature, superficial, corrupt Clinton administration.

If Arnold was on soup channels it would be a miracle. I hope so.

and is the most hated president in recent history in the age and social group that these two kids live in.

Oooo, I dunno so much about that. He is the most hated president in recent history in the age and social group that my slightly senior fellow baby-boomers grew up it - except maybe Nixon and most certianly Ronald Reagan. My son's generation has a whole lot less love of socialists than my generation does.

Second, why well-healed well-brought up women dress one way rather than another way is an inexplicable mystery, and I would just be guessing that it has nothing to do with Al Sharpton whatsoever. Third, you should have learned a long time ago to spend your brainpower on issues you might have a chance in hell of worrying about to positive effect, rather than one so utterly devoid of any useful outcome as women's fashion.

Boy, you're an odd one. You just posted a post commenting on women's fashion, while excoriating me in the same post for commenting on women's fashion.

I'm not worrying in the least about the girl's fashion. I don't feel the slightest need to have a "positive effect" on what the girl wears.

I just thought it was funny that she wore an Al Sharpton jogging suit. She should have sported some bling-bling accesories is all I'm saying, awyight!

Word.

The person that put their act together for the convention should be restricted to cleaning the bathrooms from now on. It was lame and kind of crude.

Like your post? You don't know what your talking about; stay in your dank little corner and try not to converse too much with society- you may have a nervous breakdown; instead try a support group first and find confidence in yourself, be bold as you step into the future and dare to laugh at that which confounds your inner child... child.

AJ's freaking on everyone - perhaps it will score him a date with the twins. Good strategery?

Kerry is in panic mode then; it will be a lot of fun to watch; even Gore (the nervous insane wreck he is/was) was more composed then these two goons- and Liberman was a much better candidate than Edwards.

They'll probably grow up, just like Dad did. In the meantime, keep them away from the limelight as much as possible.

I don't think I made any comments about what they were wearing whatsoever.

Make up your mind.

"who, by-the-way, are considered the coolest of the cool at their Catholic high school!"

Your bragging about how cool other children think your children are? How old are you?

Most people send their children to Catholic school for the values and morals that are taught and how cool they are is not among them.

Are you at all concerned about their goodness, strength of character and love for God? It certainly doesn't sound like it.

by those who consider the difference between how to act when on a public stage and how to act when relaxing with friends and family a part of civilized behavior.

You see, really civilized people don't have to worry about embarassing themselves by being themselves all of the time.

Of course, as others have pointed out, this was obviously something either approved by or concocted by handlers, and they're the real pros

Somehow, I would guess that Barbara and Jenna wrote most of their own material. This act was far too "risky" for a "professional" handler to have approved of it.

While it might be a lot of fun for me - it would be a nighmare of a blind-date for them. I am almost as old as their old-man. However, I enjoyed being in my 20's and have not forgotten it. Nor did I leave my brain behind when I turned 30.

I kinda expected Jenna to stick her tongue out...especially after Arnold's "Girlie-man" comment, and with the comfortable, "family theme" of the whole evening.

I think they may have written their own speech. And it's not their strong suit, that's all. Hubby thinks it was all carefully orchestrated to be funny to the youngest voters, making the girls seem like one of the gang.

I'm sure glad I'm not part of the gang...I could never speak that language. Shake like Polaroid??? I figured that out, but...it's stupid!

Kids ought to talk like we did. Cool, Man, Cool. That's Heavy.
