With her high marks and bilingual fluency, there are many opportunities at the state-funded universities - IN MEXICO!!!!
Hmmm--- "undocumented immigrants who have spent most of the educational lives in American schools and yet are effectively denied in-state tuition at their respective public colleges"...let's see..."undocumented immigrants?" What is that word I'm looking for - ill? illegal! "illegal immigrants"..."spent most of the[ir] educational lives in American schools" - listen - listen closely - no, sorry, still sounds like "living off the toil of honest hard-working Americans" - "denied in-state tuition" - bwahahaha!!! - what is that word that, like Doyle's dog that didn't bark, is revealed by its absence - let's see - could it be - wait for it - "citizen"? Yes! That's it! if they never lawfully lived in-state then it's real hard to get broken up about them paying the same tuition as other non-state residents.
When are Americans going to insist that illegal means illegal and that we take every opportunity to ferret out those that would cheat us and forcibly expel them? Anything less is an insult to every American citizen and every law-respecting immigrant.
(IMHO)
Oh, God, cry me a river. How about she get a JOB or better yet her law-breaking parents can explain to her that it's THEIR fault and that WE don't want to pay for her. Hey, maybe she can go to school wherever it was she came from. Please leave a check for your education to this point as you cross the border.

Actually, they're neither, they are "illegal aliens". An immigrant is an individual who's changed nationalities in a legal and orderly fashion.
The timing of this is suspicious.
Try that and see how fast you end up in jail. You are nothing but a law abiding, honest, American citizen. You do not have the same rights as illegal aliens.
Haven't I told you this before?
Exactly -- she could move right into the upper class in Mexico and they have a system that pays for the education of anyone who has graduated from secundaria in many of their government universities. And the education in many universities in Mexico is good.
There is no reason for her to claim martyr status. Mexico needs it's educated people and she should be very grateful she got something here that is denied most people in Mexico.
She should be able to get into Chihuaha State or Mexico City U no problemo.
Is anything stopping this girl from applying for a foreign student visa to study here? I doubt those are difficult to obtain and just because she happens to be here illegally shouldn't give her something that other foreign students don't get.
Cry me a river. Tell her to go back to wherever she came from to go to college.
Do what other college kids have to do pay non resident fees. These guys keep complaining. The protest a little too much.
What would Mr. Vincente Fox be handing you on a silver platter????? Go ahead whine to him... Will he be taking you by the hand and covering your expenses??
You've probably read this basic story many times from different sources. Lonewacko_dot_com calls them "PIIPPs" (Pro Illegal Immigration Puff Pieces). It's a common template used by the media in their not-so-subtle attempt to shape the public's attitude toward a criminal activity that they favor. I consider them blatent insults to our intelligence.
"The pro-cheap labor crowd keeps coming up with these sob stories."

Please write their Public Editor at public@nytimes.com . He's on vacation, but at least someone will read it.
Oh, BS. I love how every one of these tear-jerker starts with the story of the poor illegal just minding its own business. Screw the fact that they BROKE THE LAW.
I feel a lot worse for the American citizens who lost a spot in school because it went to someone who shouldn't have been there in the first place.
I believe the US Supreme Court ruled they have to be able to attend, and yes, our laws regarding illegal immigration don't mean a thing.
