A man carries an injured child who escaped from a seized school in Beslan, North Ossetia, Friday, Sept. 3, 2004. Commandos stormed a school Friday in southern Russia where hundreds of hostages had been held for three days, sending hostage-takers and their captives fleeing in a scene of chaos amid explosions and gunfire. More than 100 children were wounded in the assault, some running from the building naked and covered in blood. (AP Photo/Ivan Sekretarev)

Everyone needs to get ready.
This war is coming to a town near you.
We must do whatever it takes to finish these bastards off.
Seal the damn borders already, for G-ds sake.
This PC sh** is going to cause the death of our country.
I sit here wondering how the NEA might react to the fact that the people they are teaching American kids to emulate in class (prayers, slanted history, etc,) are busily murdering school children elsewhere in the world.
Kind of hard to deny the photos or blame in on G.W. Bush when it happens in Russia.
PS: someone needs to make that cross-in-hand photo into a poster and send profits to relief agencies in Russia.
I was wondering the same thing. The ones they let out on day one were naked too... It may have been the temperature, but why were the earlier ones disrobed?
And we hope for that in England as well....your danger may be much greater....
Sad? Is it sad when the blind can see? Is it sad when ignorance is enlightened? No, it will not be sad. Rather, it will represent wisdom gained and acted upon.
More raw video footage from the Russian school shootout.
middle of the page.
R Hedgecock is filling in for Rush today, A caller summed it all up when she said:
"where is Kerrys outrage against the real baby killers in russia?"
Good point. Images burned and saved.
Keep this bumped
Ping for the "Religion of Peace".
You might want to alert your ping-lists to this thread.
MarMema, see the last photo on this post - you'll see why these kids were targets!
bump for later
A really awesome photo. It's a sign that people get it everywhere except in Massachusetts.
What gets me incensed is not only are the normal channels not covering it, but CNN, MCNBS are putting Clinton above it and FNC isn't much better
"....your danger may be much greater...."
You are probably right. The great tolerant, multi-cultural Blair Government is happy to let these slami pigs recruit and plan their terrorism from mosques in our capital.
When you dance with the devil......!
"Sad? Is it sad when the blind can see? Is it sad when ignorance is enlightened? No, it will not be sad. Rather, it will represent wisdom gained and acted upon."
It will be sad because many people will have had to die before people will open their eyes to this and act.
Fellow Americans, I only hope that here in America, women, Blacks, Jews, Christians, Gays, etc. realize that this slaughter will happen to them if John Kerry and that idiot John Edwards ever get elected POTUS! Bin Laden is just itching for a Kerry "win". The joke is that all these people, or at least most of them, will vote for John Kerry, thereby by signing their own death warrants!!! These pictures break my heart, and the fact that John Kerry wants to make nice with these maniacs really ticks me off!! Please help us destroy John Kerry and his traitor Democrat Party this November at the ballot box!!!
Death To all Muslim Terrorists!
"But the rescuer wearing a T-shirt with the American flag gave me chills. "
I didn't see that!

Be Ever Vigilant!
Death To all Muslim Terrorists!
Never loose these photos.
What more evidence does the world need?
You will find others who desire that they should be safe from you and secure from their own people; as often as they are sent back to the mischief they get thrown into it headlong; therefore if they do not withdraw from you, and (do not) offer you peace and restrain their hands, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them; and against these We have given you a clear authority. - Koran, Surah IV:91, "The Women." [Black Widows?]
"Jihad becomes a duty binding on all Muslims.... We must spread the spirit of Jihad among the [Islamic] Umma, clash with the enemies and join the ranks of the Jihad fighters.... I indeed wish to go to war for the sake of Allah! I will assault and kill, assault and kill, assault and kill." - Hamas Charter, Article 15.
America does not have the nads to do this. I agree though and think that islam must be destroyed. They say only 10% are "bad" I think the figure is much higher and I believe that every mosque in america teaches that all non muslims should be killed. Even those who are not actively murdering infidels are praying for the destruction of us.There might be a few "good" muslims but there are very very few and they do not speak up.
Enough of the freedom of religion crap. Our founding fathers had no intention of granting freedom to muslims who were bent on beheading them. That is ridiculous. If you want to be a muslim and believe in allah then head to SA if they will have you.
I pray that they can be converted but better they be dead then anymore "infidels" be killed in the name of allah. There is nothing humane about these animals. I hate to say it but better we kill them before they kill us and I pray that they are not allowed to kill anymore americans. If we have one more death we should destroy all mosques in america.
I know that is wild and farfetched. Many will call me crazy but we have never faced a enemy in this manner before and its all or nothing. I am afraid the slimey, spineless politicians in DC will bend over, hike their skirts, and pull down their panties the next time a "independant muslim fundy murders americans on our soil.
Death To All Terrorists!
Right-on ~ Bump!
In supporting reforms in Russia, however, Bush stated emphatically that "we cannot excuse Russian brutality. When the Russian government attacks civilians-killing women and children, leaving orphans and refugees-it can no longer expect aid from international lending institutions. The Russian government will discover that it cannot build a stable and unified nation on the ruins of human rights. That it cannot learn the lessons of democracy from the textbook of tyranny. We want to cooperate with Russia on its concern with terrorism, but that is impossible unless Moscow operates with civilized restraint."
Four months later, as the following exchange on February 16, 2000 between candidate Bush and journalist Jim Lehrer during The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer demonstrates, Bush promised to do more regarding Chechnya.
JL: On Chechnya and Russia, the U.S. and the rest of the Western world had been raising Cain with Russia from the beginning, saying "You are killing innocent civilians." The Russians have said essentially, "We're fighting terrorism, and, by the way, mind your own business." What else-what else, if anything, could be done by the United States?
GWB: Well, we could cut off IMF aid and export/import loans to Russia until they heard the message loud and clear, and we should do that. It's going to be a very interesting issue to see how Russia emerges, Jim. This guy, Putin, who is now the temporary president, has come to power as a result of Chechnya. He kind of rode the great wave of popularity as the Russian military looked like they were gaining strength in kind of handling the Chechnya situation in a way that's not acceptable to peaceful nations. . . .
JL: But on Chechnya, specifically, you think we should not-we should hold up International Monetary Fund aid. Anything else we should do?
GWB: Export/import loans.
JL: And just cut them off? GWB: Yes, sir, I think we should.
JL: Until they do what? GWB: Until they understand they need to resolve the dispute peacefully and not be bombing women and children and causing huge numbers of refugees to flee Chechnya.
JL: And do you think that would work?
GWB: Well, it certainly worked better than what the Clinton administration has tried.
JL: You mean, just using words, you mean?
From Confrontation to Reengagement
In the first weeks of his administration, President Bush and his new foreign policy team signaled their intention to maintain a tough line on Russia and Chechnya in particular. After being named national security adviser but before taking office, Condoleezza Rice wrote an opinion piece for the Chicago Tribune in which she restated many themes of her Foreign Affairs essay from a year earlier. In the December 31, 2000 newspaper column, Rice emphasized again that "the United States needs to recognize that Russia is a great power" and therefore "U.S. policy must concentrate on the important security agenda with Russia." At the same time, she also reiterated many of Russia's domestic ills, including weak democratic institutions, half-hearted economic reforms, and corruption. She devoted special attention to the ill effects of the Chechen war and Putin's role in it: "As prime minister, Vladimir Putin used the Chechnya war to stir nationalism at home while fueling his political fortunes. The Russian military has been uncharacteristically blunt and vocal in asserting its duty to defend the integrity of the Russian Federation-an unwelcome development in civil-military relations.
The long-term effect of the war on Russia's political culture should not be underestimated. This war has affected the relations between Russia and its neighbors in the Caucasus, as the Kremlin has been hurling charges of harboring and abetting Chechen terrorists against states as diverse as Saudi Arabia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. The war is a reminder of the vulnerability of the small, new states around Russia and of America's interest in their independence." Rice hoped that this blunt statement about Russia's problems and their impact on United States interests would stand in contrast to the sugar-coated rhetoric of the Clinton years, which, in her opinion, greatly damaged United States national security: "Frustrated expectations and 'Russia fatigue' are direct consequences of the 'happy talk' in which the Clinton administration engaged."
In spring 2001, Bush and his foreign policy team did seem determined to end the "happy talk." In March his administration ordered the expulsion of nearly 50 Russian diplomats from the United States, who were accused of being spies. Bush personally did not make any statements about Chechnya in his first months in power, but his State Department sent a loud signal of support for the Chechen cause by arranging a meeting between the Chechen foreign minister in exile, Ilyas Akhmadov, and the acting head of the State Department's Bureau of Newly Independent States, John Beyrle, the highest-level meeting ever with a Chechen government official. In this early period, Bush officials also seemed poised to maintain a tough line on Russia's relations with rogue states.
And today, the world knows the truth......
This is so horrific that there are just no words...just prayers. I truly fear that this may be a new terrorist trend. God help us all
The author is a former russian who moved to the US as a child, and he is a fellow FReeper...
bumping this again.......outraged as hell
Ilyas Akhmadov does not sound like someone who would cohort with arabian militants. Maybe it's just me...
This disgusts me. These people deserve death.
Do you guys remember that heart wrenching photo, from the Oklahoma City bombing, of the fireman cradling the baby in his arms?
These photos bring the same emotion to life. How could anyone do such a thing to innocents?
May God have mercy on their souls.
This is obscene. What I really think should happen to the presstitutes can not be said without getting banned. I mean if I really said I think they should all be hung as traitors, someone might get mad. Just like if I said they will be the first targets of the next Civil War, someone might get mad. [OOppps.]
Are we going to wait until this happens in St. Louis? If we elect Kerry it will. Think about it.
Attempted Convention Distraction?
The first attack, ending a long relatively peaceful period, were two aircraft exploding simultaneusly, an unmistakable Al Qaeda trademark.
Another attack a few days later, nothing major, but just enough to keep attention focused on Russia.
Then the school attack overlapping the conclusion of the Convention in New York.
Why did the event end so suddenly?
Why didn't the terrorists allow the children to use the restroom or drink water? This will cause severe medical problems within 48 to 72 hours, and shortly thereafter, deprive the terrorists of hostages. Did they plan all along to execute the children on a pre-arranged schedule to coincide with the end of the Convention?
If the attack was intended to swing the Chechen election, why did the series of attacks continue after the election was over. Al Qeada plans these attacks months or years in advance.
If this is the case, the terrorists missed the mark completely, due to the vague priorities of the US media, who were only interested in the hurricane and the convention.
But it illustrates how far they arer willing to go to try and escape four more years of Bush's vendetta against them.
Obviously, we aren't going to be ready the first time it happens here. But what about the second?
By what methods and procedures will we begin to train our civilians to defend themselves, hand to hand or with weapons. How well will we train our own children in making war against those who would use them for their political agenda?
Will we be willing, not just in America, but across the globe to stop squabbling with the French or the Russians to unite against a common enemy?
Will we be willing to eliminate the human sea of camoflage the terrorists operate behind? To deport or inter Muslims, and to declare the remaining terrorists open targets, to declare that Islam is no lonmger a religion welcome outside of Islamic lands?
We hvae a binary solution set. One option is to endure what we just saw happen in Russia, over and over.
We won't be ready to make the other choice until we have seen even more attacks of this kind.
Death To All Terrorists!
Working on it:
Has GW denounced Russia's handling of Chechnya?
Your letter was sent to the President of the Russian Federation 04/09/2004 at 00:49 MOSCOW time. Thanks!
I shake with rage for you...
