Chris Matthews Continues Slide Toward Bottom
Accuracy In Media ^ | Aug 31, 2004 | Cliff Kincaid (blog)

Chris Matthews is "worried that MSNBC parent Microsoft might pull funding and shutter 'Hardball.' That would force Matthews to look for another berth - possibly on Fox." ...Matthews' contract reported has a provision saying he gets a job at NBC if MSNBC gets sold. It is reported by several sources that Rick Kaplan, who left CNN in the wake of the Tailwind scandal and now runs MSNBC, is a big backer (for whatever reason) of Matthews.

Tell Matthews not to worry, Dan Rather will be at the Bottom to soften his fall.

As I posted on another thread, his Sunday show tonight was a big surprise. On his segment, "Tell me something I don't know," Marie Bartoroma predicted a 10 to 12 point win for Bush and then, surprise, surprise, COKIE ROBERTS told Chris to watch the white, Catholic vote. Chris asked her if that meant that they (meaning most of the panel) were all going to become Republicans, she said YES!!!!!!

I've suspected that Kaplan has been egging Matthews on with his crazed rants. Matthews had better be careful in kissing up to such a brazen partisan.

"...just when you have success in the palm of your hand."

Is that what he calls his little (ahem) member?

OK, we can keep Geraldo, as long as they don't put him behind a desk. Keep him way out far in that field.

Doesn't FOX already have a janitor?

Fox should hire Matthews so that they could bolster their "fair and balanced" credentials and point to Matthews as another example of a flaming lunatic lefty in their employ. Of course, Fox would provide Matthews his researchers and producers, so his material likely wouldn't include forgeries and the usual DNC "talking points" faxes. He'd have to distort the truth on his own.

Fox would probably also have to keep him on quaaludes so he doesn't turn everybody off with his incessant, rude interruptions of guests who sound like they are about to make a good point.

There is no way MSNBC would take off Matthews.
He's the only show that gets ratings on there.
No one on MSNBC gets any ratings.
I'v read that Microsoft might just just sell there part of MSNBC to someone else.

Kaplan was Clinton's buttbuddy and is a major lib....who just happens to run a network.

Damn, I'm shocked.

(He's also the "biggest G-D Jew I've ever seen" according to Ted Turner....his infamous words not mine)
