I am in great fear of this story will fade away. Indeed, that seems to be what CBS (and the forger) is depending on. CBS knows very well that the documents were the centerpiece of their story. Saying that the docs are only part of the evidence is silly.

A serious crime took place when those docs were forged. We cannot allow the media at large to let this story fade away.

It's obvious that Rathernot will never recant and admit this story is based on forged documents. The only way that will happen is when they drag ol Dan off in a straight jacket. I think it will take a lot more pressure from outside before that will happen.

This is going to come down to "It depends on what 'is' is." This story will disappear, and the dems will be successful at making the sheep thinking Bush was a Favorite Son. But fear not, it is obvious that Kerry is cooked anyway. He has Shrum, the Kennedy Clan, and the Clintonians all arguing inside his axis of evil on who is going to get their hands on the money bag. Bush will wait until as late as he can to replay some tid bits from the GOP convention, "How about a little Zel with that?" Kerry = Mediocracy and Complacency. He will lose big.

Well - for sure - no instigation of the "double standard".

-If a democrat commits lies, corruption, misleads which will benefit a democrat, all is ok, no prosecution, no penalty.

-If a republican does the same benefitting a conservative, demand resignation, prosecute, tar and feather.

and,

-Truth spoken against a democrat will be met with outrage, vindication, revenge and claims of "lowness".

-Lies spoken against a republican are to be treated as the truth no matter how many voices claim they are lies, how many pieces of evidence, the media is to continue reporting it as the truth until finally history is re-written and all complainers give up.

-Any totally fabricated hate-filled claim against the president is to be ignored as merely free speech while any rebuttal is met with fury.

In other words - dems can do anything with no penalty, republicans can do nothing without being impeached, maligned, imprisoned - even when they are merely acting on their conservative beliefs.
