BTW Does anyone know how to email Bush 41? I'd like to send them an email to let them know how much we support them but can't find address
Thanks for correcting that.
Yes. The AP sued the Pentagon. I'm wondering if these new letters which were released were the result of that lawsuit.
They were certainly letters which reflect favorably on Bush. Maybe the AP should stop while they are ahead.
At the time, Geo. HW Bush was an ex-congressman. He was UN Ambassador. The military suck up to congressmen and hand out goodies to congressmen's sons all the time. But UN Ambasador? That position has no direct influence on Budgets or anything. A Republican at that under Nixon, when the Dems controlled the congress.
I used to have the entire side of the album memorized. 8^>
AP demonstrates here a real gift for understatement.
True enough, but the General worked for Nixon. I'm not saying he was pandering, just that that's the worst you can make of the letter... which is otherwise pretty darned innocuous.
The Pentagon sued?
I typed that wrong.
The AP sued the Pentagon.
Do you think these are some of the documents they got as a result of that lawsuit?
Not sure!
It's probably too soon for the lawsuit to bear fruit.
Your name isn't Joe, Marty, Dave, ????? (lived in the house behind Karen's) or Dan by any chance, now is it?
You got me. My mis-spent youth was in a slightly different direction. Now here's one for you:
Why this is nineteen hundred and thirteen & the Wright brothers haven't even started fooling around with Kitty Hawk yet. He said uh, who's she?
Rush spoke about the New York Federal Judge ordering the Pentagon to release the document under AP's suit.
Interesting tid bit on the judge's history.
Might be on Rush's website, although I have not checked it yet.
They are miscalculating IMHO.
"Kerry, Not Bush, Doing the Stonewalling
September 17, 2004
Listen to Rush
(...ask why Bush has, but Kerry hasn't, authorized the release of ALL military records)
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
I'm certain that you've all seen the story that actually cleared yesterday from the Associated Press by a guy named Matt Kelley: "A federal judge has ordered the Pentagon to find and make public by next week any unreleased files about President Bush's Vietnam-era Air National Guard service to resolve a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed by The Associated Press. U.S. District Judge Harold Baer Jr. handed down the order late Wednesday in New York. The AP lawsuit already has led to the disclosure of previously unreleased flight logs from Bush's days piloting F-102A fighters and other jets. Pentagon officials told Baer they plan to have their search complete by Monday. Baer ordered the Pentagon to hand over the records to the AP by Sept. 24 and provide a written statement by Sept. 29 detailing the search for more records..........."
I do hope it is ok to post this, "IF" not I am sure I will be informed post haste.
I'm blank on that one.
Understandable, cuz it's more than a little bit obscure. It's from a song that was a bit over 13 fast talking minutes by a "folk" artist.
There she is folks, the USS Titanic. She's lined up aside 357 parking meters & the captains getting done ready to split, cuz he's run out of dimes.
The album was "Remember the Wind & Rain" & it was by Jamie Brockett.
One of the more misleading headlines in a hit piece lately.
Real journalists would have titled it (not that this is news, either): Major General Praised GW Bush in Letter to GHW Bush.
ROFLMAO!!!!
