As soon as I read this, I thought, "Don't let them take Saddam's WMDs out with them!"

My dream has always been, just before the election, either the coalition gets into Lebanon and finds them, or they are accidentally discovered when Israel targets some terrorists in that region.

Either way works for me. I would just be so happy if they all turned up, and there was no doubt of where they had come from. Wouldn't that be fun!

When that happens, I will once again, albeit temporary, tune into the alphabet media for the report. I might even watch the disgusting left-wing Canadian media for that one!

Please, please, please, let it be so....

Earlier it was announced Syrian and U.S. forces would partake in joint patrols along the Iraqi-Syrian border to prevent insurgents infiltrating into Iraq. Mustapha confirmed the deal, saying it came about after a visit to Damascus by American officials.

Anybody seen this confirmed by US govt, or mentioned in US MSM?

Syria went into Lebanon to get that madhouse under control.

Wasn't it just last week Putin set up shop in Israel, now the US and Syria?

Guess Syria figured out it was not going to get the same nuclear deal Iran got, or will they?

Things are getting really tough to keep up with looks like the nations have become swingers.

Syria could be a reliable ally in bringing some order into Iraq. If you remember Lebanon was falling apart when the Palestinians were driven out of Jordan. Finally Israel than the US went in. Both Israel and the US left and Syria maintained quite strict control over the situation.
Will Lebanon become destabilzed again or is Syria and the other Arab states coming around to help in a Iraqi solution. If Bush pulls this off, he's a landslide winner.
Notice the ifs.

All your "if's" ignore Russia, France, China and Germany, now these are not going to like seeing anything USA in Syria, no matter how well it helps this region.

It's tough when I run into a guy as cynical as I am.
If the aim is to neuter the US I have to agree with you completely.
The Idea of 3 regions of influence might be the eventual goal. Asia, Europe and the Americas

"It's tough when I run into a guy as cynical as I am."

lol

"If the aim is to neuter the US I have to agree with you completely."

This sums up the Clintons stated policy of "EQUALIZE ALL NATIONS" reason the world wants a liberal in the White House.

"The Idea of 3 regions of influence might be the eventual goal. Asia, Europe and the Americas"

I submit what ever it takes to make USA one and the same as the rest of the world, we are not more equal than them.

John Loftus had mentioned this same thing on John Batchelor's radio show program on WABC a few months ago. He said that the government was secretly negotiating with Syria, trying to strongarm, them since we know they have Saddam's WMD. The US was trying to get Syria to cough them up. I wonder if that's going to happen.

Loftus has been wrong sometimes and he's been right sometimes. He's also a Dem but he's very anti-terrorist and he thinks Rummy and Myers are doing a good job with the military.
