Hanoi John Kerry visited Jacksonville and was given a cold unwelcome by about 65 citizens and veterans AGAINST Kerry, to include 5 named FReepers.
Vietnam Veterans AGAINST Kerry were first on scene around noon with a huge Vietnam campaign ribbon with the words "Kerry LIED" emblazoned on it. OXENinFLA reconned the area at noon and sent me photos of the Vets to post and when I saw them, I decided to cut work short and head down there.
Warrior Nurse and his dog Apollo were there and razzing the democRATS with his bullhorn. He does a great Jesse Jackson impersation, but Jesse could never utter the words of wisdom Warrior Nurse uttered.
There were various other groups including Swift Boat Veterans AGAINST Kerry, Vietnam Veterans AGAINST Kerry, Veterans AGAINST Kerry, Iraq Veterans AGAINST Kerry, Christians AGAINST Kerry, Pro-Lifers AGAINST Kerry, Young Republicans, Duval County GOP for Bush.
We all had a good time and let the Kerry Kool-aiders know that they were supporting a man who sold out his fellow veterans, changed his foreign policy like most people change their socks, wants to raise taxes, and is an appeaser to terrorists!
We made it known to Kerry and his Kool-aiders that Jacksonville and Florida is BUSH COUNTRY!
Lemme share this episode from today. I was holding a sign I brought back fromthe "Kerry LIED... While Good Men Died" rally in DC on Sept 12th. The sign said "Kerry LIED while WE died". A Kerry Kool-aider in his 70's walked past me as he was going home and muttered "If you died, how are you here"?.
I went off on him.
I yelled "There are 58,000 of us who DIDN'T come home! How in the hell can you support the man who is a TRAITOR and sold us all out?".
He snapped back "I'm a Korean War vet and I won a Bronze Star there."
I yelled in his face "You are STILL supporting a TRAITOR! How can you brag about being a veteran, and then support a traitor?".
He said "I don't want to hear that."
"Well you are GONNA HEAR it! You can't be proud to support a TRAITOR who sold us out. You should be ASHAMED to support that TRAITOR KERRY!".
His wife was trying to get him to hurry up. He turned to me and showed me posterboard with headstones drawn on and the number 1,000 written underneath. "Bush did this!", he said proudly, "1,000 dead and counting".
I yelled at him "You can't count: IT'S 3,000 DEAD CIVILIANS! OR HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN? Take your GREEDY GEEZER butt outta here and be ashamed of yourself for supporting a TRAITOR!".
I bet he thinks twice about making a smartass remark about Vietnam vets.

To Lurch: Xin loi, (Johnny Kerry m'boy), you got beaucoup nerve thinking you can waltz in and take the Football from a REAL Commander in Chief in January. Dinky dau, numba ten John Kerry.
Kudos to all of you -- great looking protesters, signs and Flip-Flops! It's also great to see a few faces in the crowd that I recognize -- Hi Taxman, Warrior Nurse -- and Chieftan, I didn't get to meet you at the DC Rally by the Vietnam Veterans Against Kerry, but I was about 10 feet away and recognized your shirt and sign as you were leaving that day. Thanks for the after-action report and photos.
