My translation of this statement is, If the truth comes out it will hurt the Democrat's!
Using faked documents before the election to influence the election is OK. Investigating the sloppy and bias reporting before the election is evil. Makes perfect sense.
Oh, but it's OK to broadcast a bogus story with phony documents that could "interfere with the presidential race". But their not biased, why would we think such a thing?
The Republicans should insist that the interim findings of the investigation to be made public, voters have the right to know, BEFORE the election, just exactly what rold the Kerry campaign played.
After all, we already know that Lockhart talked with Burkett.
What are the fine investigative reporters doing?
Why not? If Kerry wins and then we find out that he was all over this, people will start calling for impeachment. Why put everyone through that if you know who's involved beforehand?

Well, considering they were working on this story for 5 years to get lies, I can only imagine how long it will take them to figure out the truth.
If this is an independent review, why would CBS be speaking for them?

The genie is out of the bottle. The internet now has hundreds of millions of fact-checkers, lie detectors, and cool brainiacs in their pajamas, laughing our butts off at the lame attempts of the “journalism majors” on TV to spin things their way.
The media wing of the democrat party is dying. CBS, ABC, NBC, all except FOX are tanking in their ratings, losing money, and dying a slow, welcome death.
Who broke the Dan Rather phony document story? One of our braniacs here, in pajamas, Buckhead. The “th” heard round-the-world ignited blew Dan out of the water in a couple of hours.
For those of you new here, this is not uncommon. Free Republic has over 100,000 registered users, and a whole lot more than that come here every day. We have scientists, brilliant PhD’s, gun owners, good-ole-small business owners, Capitalists, meat-eaters, and some of the most brilliant in the media. Yes, they lurk here, too.
