The revelations about Hussein bribing France, Russia and China certainly put a new light on the "bribed and coerced" line. Did you see the editorial on this in the Washington Post today? It was also surprisingly fair. Bush has admitted that the intelligence they had was flawed. I wonder when his opponants will admit that Bush didn't lie or mislead anyone, and that failing to bring France, Russia, etc aboard the coalition was not the result of bad diplomacy but the fact that those administering the "global test" were already bought by the other side.

Thanks, I hadn't seen the WP editorial.

In that editorial they state "Mr. Kerry suggested recently that Saddam Hussein's regime would have collapsed under the inspectors' pressure. "

Dream on Kerry, the sanctions were crumbling and would be gone. The inspections were being DUPED and would continue to be duped so how could their pressure collapse the regime?

Sorry, the world and the USA can't survive Kerry's type of threat assessment or management since it in effect would mean that the USA would slide over to the France, Germany and Russia side of the ledger which collectively are illustratated in the picture above while one of our city's skyline is replaced with a mushroom cloud.

There is NO Mulligan for an attack that has taken place, you must act before it happens to prevent it, not just cut that scene and leave it fall to cutting room floor.
