Dispersed, but not dead.
Note: I did not say DESTROY, I said SUFFER. There are varying degrees of punishment.
I believe that the answers to your questions are contained in the book of Hebrews.
Ok so God will make those who impose tariffs on Israel suffer?
It will never happen. God has promised it..."Heaven and earth will pass away, but, My Word will never pass away!"
"a spectrum of reasons ranging from lingering guilt at not preventing/curtailing The Holocaust"
I guarantee you less than 1% of Americans feel that way. It's a ridiculous sentiment isn't it? American worked very hard and made great sacrifices to end the holocaust. Americans are rightly proud of their efforts in WWII.
Hmm. I'll have to ponder that one.
Where the Israelis see a garden the muslims see a sand dune. Those two people couldn't be farther apart in their view of the world
If muslims ever took hold of Israel they'd destroy all of the advances made by the Israelis, and turn Israel back into a medieval desert.
Of course there'd be a bunch of liberals talking about the muslims "regaining their heritage", and other assorted BS.
Would it change muslim hatered of America? Of course not.
Am Yisrael Chai.
Most southern Baptist and evangelical type Christians support Israel due to: The prophetic destiny Israel will play in the world.
The blessings received by those who bless Abraham's descendents as opposed to the curses that are layed upon those who don't!
They are God's chosen race thru which all the world was blessed thru the coming of Jesus Christ.
The Holocaust is seen by many evangelicals as an attempt of Satan to destroy God's credibility as God by eradicating the remaining jews from the Earth. After all, if they were all destroyed, then God can't keep his promises...right?
...forever.
The Lord who watches over Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
You obviously don't know all that much about the New Testament. Try again.
You know what, I find that accusation offensive. I am a Christian, but my support for Israel is moral and pragmatic. I am not in the least worried about them being destroyed and therefore making my faith false. I have absolute confidence in what I believe.
I support Israel because I believe as a free nation I have a duty to support another democracy against the tyrants that attempt to destroy them.
Secondly Israel has done nothing no other nation has not done when attacked. Her possessions came from nations that first attacked her and she won. She has every right to them.
Thirdly, Israel has every moral right to target the masterminds of terror and "take them out". Any reasonable nation would do so.
Fourthly, Israel is America's proxy in the Middle East. She is being attacked as she is the symbol of America and the Free West in the Middle East. She is much easier to attack than us.
And Fifth, we need to support any and every nation that is willing to prosecute a war against terrorism. Attacking civilians should never be tolerated.
I have a Indian Muslim coworker who says Muslims only hate America because of support of Israel. Stopped him dead cold when Chechnians killed those little children. Dropping US support for Israel is a Saddam/Arafat/Bin Laden talking point geared to divide and conquer!
Good point, Grum. I hadn't thought about that.
