Surprised Neal thought Kerry won the debate.

If you're debating the pros and cons of abortion before a room full of Catholics, it doesn't matter who does the best job of defending a woman's right to control her own body. The person with the anti-choice position will be the winner ... period.

Sounds like Mr. Boortz is an abortion fan.

He's losing my confidence.

Not sure im getting Boortz on this one. He offers nothing to back up his belief that he thinks most people want govt handouts. I dont believe that to be true at all.

Again, I could care less who is the better debater. (Or, as Rush so poetically puts it, the 'Master Debater.') I want a leader, someone who is as good as his word, steadfast and resolute, with character and moral strength, whom we can trust to protect our interests and our homeland. That, my friends, is certainly not how I'd describe John Kerry or his girlfriend, John Edwards.

I think smart America realizes now that all talk and no action gets you 9/11.

He means liberals and so-called "moderates" think John F*ckin's their man. I'm afraid he's right - they do think he's a winner.

Let's not forget that Boortz is a huge Libertarian. He was Libertarian all the way last election!

Look at his criteria for declaring Kerry the winner. America has become a nation of govt. junkies and Kerry is the candidate of big govt.

I personally think he's right. Look at Bush's domestic record and you'll see plenty of govt growth. Kerry promises to grow govt even faster. That's why he "won".

He is saying that Kerry appealed to the beggars.

It's sad, but it's also hard to argue with his logic. After all, when you,,,"rob Peter to pay Paul, you can COUNT ON PAUL'S SUPPORT"!

Boortz like "choice" and will not take any calls on abortion. He is set in his ways on this one and it seems he thinks that the "anti choice" crowd are idiots. Of course he never has said this but I can read between the lines.

He always has been. He just keeps it quiet since his audience is probably 80% pro-life.

Thanks for the analysis.

This means that Mr. Boortz is a moral degenerate.

He cannot be counted on when the chips are down.

My Liberal friend claimed that Pres. Bush looked like Alfred E. Neuman of 'Mad magazine' in the first debate; however, she thought the President won this debate. I admit I was too tired to vote in the ABC, CBS, MSNBC polls as the Democratic Underground did, but partisan operatives padding the vote does not make a person a winner in a debate.

The problem with Boortz's analysis is that Bush can't go there, anyway. If he fights Kerry on the ground of who will give more free stuff to moochers, he'll always lose. His reason why Kerry "won" the debate is the same reason the MSM thinks Kerry "won". When Kerry can get away with elliptical comments like "Social Security will be fine", then what is being conducted is not a debate but a raffle. ;)

"the anti-choice position"

Abortion isn't a choice. It's change one's mind.
