>>> Actually, his exact words were, "And she was in the hospital".
He didn't say she died there. Enough already!
The point still is....it doesn't matter. We are the ones who will become no better than Kerry-Edwards. There are many more important things to discuss that Kerry lied about, his war record, etc. I just got a recorded phone call today claiming that GWB is going to raise sales taxes. This is what people care about, not whether Kerry was inaccurate about something his deceased mother said.
I don't trust a thing Rassman tells me. Rassman and Kerry are buds, of course he wants his good friend to be President, who wouldn't?
You give me too much credit. I'm not Matt Drudge.
Reminds me of the old joke about a tourist in New York who asks a cab driver how to get to Carnegie Hall. The cabbie answers (in thick Yiddish accent) "Practice, Practice, Practice"
The leftist propaganda is non cessing....I understand down under the very same thing happened to Howard!! Yet he was re-elected...as our wonderful President Bush will be. ;o)
Sorry, I'm a grown man and you're not my parents. If you don't like my opinion, go somewhere else and don't read it. That's the extent of your options. Telling me 'enough already' isn't one of them.
And secondly, you're a hatchling here. You've got no business as a newbie telling anyone anything here.
To throw in my two cents:
Yes, it's bad that Kerry is trying to garner sympathy by mentioning his dead mother. Worse, he's trying to tie another buzzword to her. "Strength" is all about used up so he's switching over to "Integrity". Frankly, senator, those are just synonyms; and words at that. What would be better is if you could show some. As a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy, I still remember our motto there: "Acta Non Verba" - Deeds, not words. A good model for anyone to follow. Kerry's only "strength" is in his ability to spin an elaborate tale of grand verbose proportions. An impressive skill to be certain, but made invalid without anything to back it up.
I see people ask "what should we do?" My answer is this: leave Kerry's mother alone. Don't allow him to snare you in his own lies. Most importantly, focus on what matters. When you are next confronted by someone who supports this candidate, simply and calmly bring up the point that his only asset is his tongue. He has not done much else than talk, especially in this election, and frankly, I would like to see a president that can back up what he says.
We've heard Kerry compare himself to past presidents such as JFK, Regan and even FDR. This is unfounded. Roosevelt (Theodore) himself offered the advice, "Speak softly and carry a big stick." Deeds, not words, ladies and gentlemen. Kerry would do best to follow the advice of former presidents rather than blindly compare himself to them. We would do best to remind voters that he does not.
I am shocked! BTW, I just passed a burning church in my black community. And I too spent Christmas in Cambodia.
Yes he did:
"---my mom passed away a couple years ago, just before I was deciding to run. And she was in the hospital,..."
John Kerry directly indicated that his mother died in the hospital and spoke her last words to him from her hospital bed. For Kerry to spin these words any other way only makes him look like the liar he is.
Gore Lies Redux. It must be a democrat trait.
This is becoming cartoonish. First, Kerry lies in the first debate about havig not called Bush/Cheney liars. Now he appears to be lying about "Integrity, Integrity, Integrity." If it weren't for the entertainment value, this would be disturbing.
Thanks, -Wade Englund-
Please. I may be a newbie but I do have a place stating that I find it tasteless and presumptuous to accuse Kerry of lying under these circumstances. Based on very unfortunate, very personal circumstances I went through recently.
Kerry = Habitual Liar. And that is what folks need to realize about this guy. I can't stand liars
This is already posted and is a non-issue. He was on the campaign trail when she was actually dying and his sister called him to say it was the end. He didn't leave the campaign trail to go home. She must have been in the hospital then sent home to die. This story idea of lying will go nowhere.
