Central Texas is a nice area. The Austin & Travis county taxes are high by most standards. You may want to check into Williamson county. That is much more Conservative. There are areas in Travis that have quite a number as well, but for the most part Austin is liberal.

I live in the NW part of Travis co, near Lake Travis. The only problem there, is cedar pollen, which will start in Dec and last thru late JAn or early Feb. Check your FReep mail in a few.

It would be fun to get some of the Central Texas Freepers together say at,,,"The Oasis" to give the newbie a welcome to Texas party once the family arrives. While the food is not so great, the view of the lake cannot be beat...

Unless there's a better venue,,,I'd love to meet some of my fellow Texas freepers!
