YES!!!! It is good to know that there is at least one righteous1 man running for the U.S. Senate. I can't tell you what a lift it was to hear him speak.
1 I'm sure there are others, but tonight was Mr. Keyes' night.
He has many of Cheney's admirable qualities. Calm. Knowledgable. Competent. Probably, in terms of understanding Constitutional law, he is close to being unsurpassed. Jim Robinson mentioned earlier that Keyes would make a great SCOTUS justice. IMO, there is no doubt about that.
That's it my friend. It's not an intellectual problem, ultimately. It's a spiritual problem.
God still sends us prophets. Tonight's debate was The World vs. A Prophet. Sometimes we listen to prophets. Sometimes we don't. Bad things usually follow when prophets are ignored.
Yep.
Well said.
;-)
Dr. Tom Coburn is awesome, for one.
But I agree.
Alan's brilliance never shone brighter than tonight.
If every Illinoisan could see this, we would win, IMO.
How about a great VP! Wouldn't you want him for your "attack dog"? The press conferences would be interesting too 8-)
Cool. Thanks.
Thanks to you, and to all who made this a most enjoyable thread!
Thanks for the thread. Bumping for later linking to C-SPAN2.
Awesome!
Thank you...
And here I come, late as usual. Looking forward to the re-broadcast. Thanks again for your hard work.
Does a good leader simply tell the people what he thinks they want to hear? Or does he try to explain to them why other ideas are sometimes better? The Republican Revolution of 1994 wasnt accomplished by people sitting around wringing their hands over how their extreme policy agenda might not play well across the nation.
Thanks for the great thread! Looking forward to hearing updates about this big race.
My pleasure! Truly...
What do you think of that ad that heads up the thread?
Just doing what I can, as are thousands of great Illinoisans...
Self-governent in action...It's a beautiful thing to see!
I'm sorry, I understand that Keyes is the quintisential "Conservative," but I don't think he speaks for the mainstream of the Political Right and definetely not the Republican Party.
Be specific.
