Because she is overweight, she usually wears loose-fitting clothes, and, she has no taste. However, controlling a fortune, no one wants to bring her the bad news. So I'm sure that it is "Teresa, you look great!"

I had a friend (of sorts) who had a $200,000 per month income from old family oil money and she dressed and acted just like Terayza...............I think it is true that when you have that much money you don't care what anyone else thinks.

There is a person somewhat like that down here in my area.
She has "old family oil money" also. Lots of it.
Except. She is mostly conservative. Usually a nice person. For instance, she recently donated some $50,000.00 for the renovation of an old Catholic Church and yet she is a Protestant herself.
(I've seen her "get mad at someone" and be a little "out of line" on a few rare occasions.)
People do comment about her clothes and overall appearance but never to her face. She dresses something terrible.
(You'd have to see it to believe it.)

I would say most people in this area (myself included) would agree with your statement:

I mean, how good could she looked, she lays down next to a funeral director (or a corpse) on a regular basis. I'd be downing cases of beer if I were her.

She has brought wrinkles back to the forefront of fashion though,,,oh wait, this is supposed to be about the clothes,,got it...My bad!

The last time I saw the person I was referring to, she was writing a letter of support to one of her Communist causes. I just didn't have the stomach for her politics so I left the house and never went back.

It is good to hear of the person you know. It just confounds my mind to think some people make their money under the Capitalist system and then give it all away to those causes that are so alien to Capitalism.

Well, she is most certainly a capitalist and a real patriot. A basically very decent person.
All in all though she is a bit "weird" to my way of thinking.
It's all that money. She is not arrogant but she can be "stand-offish".
I guess that's to be expected. If she would allow it, everybody and his brother would be trying to talk her out of money.
