PENNSYLVANIA GOING TO BUSH!?!?!?!
11-02-04 | Josh in PA

Posted on 11/02/2004 5:35:26 AM PST by Josh in PA

I have been doing work for two candidates, One a guy running for PA State House, and another one in the US House (John Peterson)... From what I'm hearing higher up in the campaigns, the GOP voting turnout in this rural area of PA (that went 62-34 to Bush) is OFF THE FRICKIN CHARTS!!!

They actually think Pennsylvania is going to goto Bush.. I'll get more when I hear it!!!!!

Yes, I got to my location 30 minutes before the opening time. I was 2nd through the door when it finally opened up, and at that point, the line behind me was probably 100 people long. THIS IS AT OPENING!

Is there a way to check to see if someone has voted? My mother died on Saturday in a nursing home in NJ and we were talking about the possibility that someone would vote for her.

Oooooo, good point... it'll also turn off the newly registered voters... these people never cared enough to vote in their lives before, and now the Dems think they'll suddenly care enough to wait in line for 3-6 hours? Right.

Wow, you're making me hungry!. I ate at the Good & Plenty restaurant in Lancaster a couple of years ago. Wow. Also I also consumed a whole shoo fly pie I bought at a bakery in Intercourse. I think I gained 5 lbs my 2 day visit to the area.

Here in Alabama, in my mostly Republican precinct, the line was longer than I have ever seen it. Lots of determined Republicans. I admit this is purely anecdotal, but the base is really fired up!!

"He thinks that at best Kerry sold us out after his VN years and at worst is still affiliated with the communists. "

Well, that's a fact, but one the MSM keeps hidden.

Kerry was a traitor for meeting with the Vietcong in Paris in 1971, yet we get more air-time to Bush and 7 minutes talking about a goat than about Kerry selling USA out.

It's interesting his eyes are open on that yet he wears the D-label ... about half of the Dems in Congress are out-and-out- socialists these days ("Progressive Democrat Caucus" and "Democratic Socialists" both have more than 100 members in Congress)...

Drudge reporting nearly 500 votes on machine before voting started in Philadelphia district. Gee, I wonder which candidate got those votes?

Well, Republicans have to vote before work, so early morning lines don't say much.

I just commuted into Penn Station, NYC. There were Kerry people on every corner trying to give away buttons. I observed very few takers. They were all but ignored! I view this as a most encouraging sign.

why in the world would skerry be doing anything in nyc
they must be worried

The Repubs I talked to were all psyched. I just hope there are enough new Repub voters there or Dems voting for Bush this time, because the Kerry/Edwards sign situation was a little overwhelming in Philly.

It's like that in certain parts of the suburbs too.

I just heard from a GOP man & woman working my polling place that the 'rats were paying $50 per Bush sign stolen. They said that there were 8,000 Bush signs alotted to Chester County and 95% were stolen.

Now that I think about it, we should have brought in 100,000 signs and bankrupted the 'rats!

As you left, they asked if you would like to have your name removed from their list, so that you wouldn't be contacted. I presume sometime mid-afternoon, they will start contacting those who said that they supported Kerry, but did not vote yet.

Do not let your heart be troubled ... this is what party poll watchers do and they do it with the official rolls. Both parties have folks stationed at the registration desk, marking who has voted and who has not. Then, others get the lists of "not yet voted but leaning your candidate" and call them. I'm doing this calling in suburban Philadelphia (Chester County) today. Fear not -- stop snivelling!

When I voted at 9AM there was a fine young lady handing out Republican pamphlets and the Bush sign was posted at the legal distance. However, no one was there for democrats. On my way out I saw the posters with Gov Rendell and the dems behind the bushes. I'm sure that was were they were dropped off by the dem party, but no one was there to setup. There was a chance of rain so the dems must have stayed home.

Well I can tell you in Pittsburgh Kerry's support in my experience appears to be far weaker than Gore's was 4 years ago, so I do expect Kerry to not be as strong here as Gore... and we all know Bush like all Republicans will carry the T solidly. It really boils down to how well Bush does in the Philly area.

Hope so. On the Dom Giordano radio show in Philadephia last night, however, the Democrat DA in Philadelphia basically gave the green light for voter fraud. When asked what she planned to do to keep vote fraud to a minimum, she said that they were going to make very certain that no vote "supression or intimidation" took place. Dom asked her again specifically about vote fraud, and she gave the same answer. To me, that says that all bets are off in Philly. Bush/Cheney better have TONS of poll watchers in Philadelphia tonight.
