Just an aside, but does anyone else find it strange that people who don't like each other (actors and studio executives) all belong to the SAME political party???

"I saw an ad today for the Kinsey movie. They said it was Oscar-worthy. I don't know whether I should throw up or snore."

Snore. It's easier on your guts.

They should learn a very Hollywood lesson from this election. No amount of advertising and spin can turn a turkey into a blockbuster.

Here is an interesting figure

In 2000 California had 10,679,572 voters and in 2004 they had 9,944,625. That is 734,947 less voters just imagine if the Hollywood types didn't push for registrations maybe the President would of won California (hey I am an optimist, it paid off for the Red Sox's :-) ). Now lets break that down, in 2000 Gore had 5,721,195 and President Bush had 4,437,552 and all other candidates had 520,825. And Popular vote President Bush had 50,456,169 And Gore had 50,996,116. Now 2004 In California Kerry had 5,427,055(loss of 294,140 votes) and President Bush had 4,403,495(Loss of 34,057 votes) and others had 114,075 (loss of 406,750) Popular vote President Bush 59,424,706 and Kerry 55,905,023 . When all is said and done California had 734,947 less voters in 2004 then they had in 2000. And over all President Bush Picked up an extra 8,968,537 compared to 2000 and Kerry only picked up an extra 4,908907 votes compared to 2000. Which if one were to look at it, it appears that the Republican party is growing faster then the democratic party. Isn't life Good :-)

That is an excellent idea for a one page ad in one of those leftist rags:
We, THE PEOPLE, the ones who won't be bought, purchased, starstruck, intimidated, laughed at, mocked, derided for our convictions or beliefs, etc..,
Would like to thank you for galvanizing us and open our eyes to the danger you truly present to this great nation, this one nation under God.
You act as if it were only people who agreed with you were standing in line for 10 hours,etc...
The Silent Majority is back

I can not say it enough. Communism is alive and well in the U.S.A. and has to be defeated at all cost. I see it around me all the time. The ACLU, the teachers union, lobbyist, MSM and all kinds of other activist organizations out on the street and in Washington D.C.

"FR is the perfect place to start a boycott. But I rather be selective. There are some good guys out there like Mel Gibson. Pick our targets.
To add to my early list, I forgot Steven Spielberg. He's a major democrap."

Loosing money is the only way to get their attention. There are not enough EUROS to fill the void if the Conservatives would get a clue that their entertainment dollars fund liberal Hollywood.

"We squandered record amounts of money," said Dan Adler, board member of Rock the Vote, the outreach effort that uses music stars to rally the youth vote. "Smart and good people, not just from Hollywood, jumped in with great ideas and great resources. People went into battleground states. We squandered a unity of purpose. We have nothing to show for it."

Well, well now. A non-partisan group whose stated purpose is to get more people to vote, does indeed see a record number of voters get out to vote. Yet they think they failed, why? Could it be because the turnout was not their objective, a certain result was. PLease contact the IRS. Tell them you really weren't a non-partisan group, you were a 527.

a blockbuster effort that brought together a glittering all-star cast, a robust budget and an amazing soundtrack to produce ... a major dud.

It kinda reminds me of the song..."I miss you more than "Pearl Harbor" sucked!

That movie Team America totally destroyed the Hollyweirdos . . .

How much is anyone willing to bet that the election returns (especially the polls that say religious beliefs played a major part in the election) will make Hollywood go, "We're not going to let our disappointment affect how we judge a picture like 'The Passion' when we vote for the Oscars."

Because the vote they wanted to "rock" didn't come out to vote --- for Kerry or President Bush.

Apparently true. My daughter is college sophomore, voted first time this election. A professor in one of her classes asked for a show of hands as to who had bothered to vote. Daughter was astonished that only about half the people in the class raised their hand.

On our local newspaper staff, we have a local columnist who is extremely liberal and his last column came out this morning. He is leaving for New England to write for a radical left wing paper somewhere up north. He wrote a long column full of self pity blasting the voters , still with no clue that he is the one who is on the wrong side of the issues, not us. There will be several letters to the editor printed in the next few weeks and I know exactly what they will say. Goodbye and good riddance!
