1) President Bush won something like 2600 counties to Heinz-Kerry's 700.
2) President Bush got more votes in Massachusetts in 2004 than he did in 2000.
3) President Bush got more votes in 45 states in 2004 than he did in 2000.
I can't wait to see the stats coming out of a Hitlerina vs. Condi Rice for President race in 2008.........or whomever we decide to nominate on the Republican side. I hope the stats burn the wannabe empress-of-the-world to a crisp.
Yes, but, this is what I hear at work:
It doesn't matter that the land area he won is huge, what matters is who the population votes for, and a huge amount of people voted for Kerry...therefore no mandate.
Bush may have gotten more votes than anyone else in history, but so did Kerry.
How can Bush say that he has a mandate? Not everyone in the country voted for him. I don't what him to do whatever he wants to do, therefore, he has no mandate.
I pointed out the increased numbers of Republicans in the House and Senate, but they say it doesn't matter. We're talking about the president's mandate, not the Congress.
Essentially, they are blind and will never see the truth.
