"I've seen James and Mary together several times...I may be imagining this- but it seems to me she treats him like an errant schoolboy."
I don't think it's your imagination - - I've felt the same way - - the times I've seen them on MTP together, JC is much different than when he's on a show by himself - -usually a bit more low key. As I recall, MM gives him one of what I call those 'double whammy' looks (you know the kind your Mom gave you when you were little and you knew you had better straighten up fast). I also recall her going, 'oh, James, you know that's not true....... It can be entertaining.

Why Luger and Levin on CNN? Bills to come on the lame duck Congressional session?

Excellent job I knew it was out there but my computer is on permanent life support and I don't dare try and do too much with it. Thanks a lot.

to come on = to come up in

Off topic but was anyone listening to the C-Span morning show yesterday, when the topic was health care? Guy called in saying he was Garrett Morris from SNL, and that he had been shot two years ago and supported medical marijuana. I half expected Chevy Chase to come on, and Garret to start doing his "hearing impaired" translation.

Chris Wallace just asked Frist if Specter had yet convinced him (Frist) that he is sincere in his claims to support Bush's nominees etc...Frist said "Not yet" GO BILL!!!!

Ya gotta love the way Frist is "talking".
Now, let's see how it translates into action.

TR plays an old clip of Carville where he says Kerry would get 52%. I think he just hit himself in the face with an egg.

Egg on his face -- I think Carville just showed his sense of humor.

Why did Bush win. Dem party at a precarious moment. We control no branches of government. Our purpose is to win elections and our message is we can manage problems but Pubbies say we can solve them.

James...bet $1,000 with his wife on the outcome of the election. He is now writing out a check to a charity of Mary's choice!
Carville: The Dems have a litany, the Reps have a narrative.

Carville actually sounds reasonable, a word I didn't think I'd ever use to describe him. I'm not holding my breath for it to continue.

Dodd was up to his ass in the Chinese money scandel during the toon money mess. He was co-party chair. I think it was Dodd and kennedy that held a fund raiser for John Wong sp and kept some contrbutions for themselvs. They are both crooked bastards.

James Carville just smashed an egg on his face after Tim Russert played the tape from March when he predicted Kerry 52%, Bush 47% and Nader 1%. He also wrote a check for a $1000.00 to the Boys and Girls Clubs after loosing a bet. He may be a rabid dog campaigner, but he does have a sense of humor and honors his bets.

Carville is far from dumb. I'll give him that. We need to start solving problems. Tim doesn't want Bush to have a mandate. Matlin points out that he won seats in both houses and on specific reforms.
