Zarqawi in fresh call to arms
From correspondents in Dubai
16nov04
AN audio tape purportedly from al-Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi urged insurgents throughout Iraq today to mobilise against US-led forces to prevent them from attacking other cities after Fallujah.
"If the enemy finishes in Fallujah they will move towards you, so be alert and foil this plan," the voice on the tape said.
"Advance towards them and rain rockets and mortars down on them."
The tape also called for attacks on US supply lines in Iraq.
The authenticity of the tape, posted on a website often used by Islamists, could not be immediately verified.

That goes without saying. But you watch, a light is going to go on pretty quick.
"Why are we getting killed at some Jordanian's say-so?"
To: Happy2BMe
Yes, they need some more people to abandon when the going gets tough. I think the fact they ran out of their volunteers in Fallujah will not help their recruiting efforts.

So how many of the enemy still believes Zarqawi's claim that the terrorists would win the battle of Fallujah, much less Zarqawi's new claims today?

"Advance towards them and rain rockets and mortars down on them." Advice this dumb almost makes you think that Zarqawi is working for us. If our goal is to kill the roaches as quickly as possible, we certainly could not ask for better marching orders, could we?

When the fighting looked imminent in Fallujah, Zarqawi ran away like a frightened lap dog and now yaps from behind the skirts of women.

Zarqawi has a severe case of Shampoo-instruction-itis.
On a shampoo label, it directs the user to Lather-Rinse-Repeat. In Zarq's case, its Fight-be-defeated-Repeat. And Repeat. And Repeat...

No ....you misunderstood. Remember that AQ communications guy in Pakistan we flipped and used to get to bigger fish.
What if we have done the same thing here.
Or we could be faking these Zarqawi tapes .....because as another freeper just posted up thread.......these new orders play right into our hands.

Almost certainly we are releasing tapes and letters of and by "Zarqawi," spreading rumors about him, and conducting normal psy-ops against him. If he comes out of the woodwork to refute a rumor or debunk a tape, then we've got yet another chance to nab him.
If his followers and admirers take the bad advice of our psy-ops tapes, then things again work out badly for the terrorists.
It's win-win for us.
Life is good.
On the other hand, I doubt that *our* "Zarqawi" tapes get much, if any, press.

American military need to work closely now with Iraqi security in all of the Suni Triangle. If it gets to be like the Earps and Clantons, so be it. But, the Iraqi security needs the discipline badly, of having US troops over their shoulders.

I know what you mean. For awhile I was half expecting bin Laden's beard to fall off during that last tape, to reveal the face of Karl Rove.
Zarqawi's boys just got their collective butt handed to them and he's calling for more. Great plan. Keep 'em comin'...

I'm sure there are dimwits in Iraq who, for a few pieces of money, will blow up supply line, oil lines, electricity lines, water lines.
Whatever some Jihadi orders, some Islamic kook will follow.

He isn't in Iraq. I'm betting that he's in Iran, or possibly Syria, but most likely Iran.
So we won't be able to get him, but he's done us a favor by urging his followers to attack us. In doing so, they will expose themselves, and we will send them to their 72 virgins.
To: MeekOneGOP
It doesn't matter how they get him, dead or alive. To me, better dead, then alive.

Sounds like Al Zarqawi is trying to put the best face on a bad situation. He lost his base and is trying to rally what's left of his troops... but they're being hunted down and Iraq's Al Qaeda branch is on the defensive.

Brilliant think Zar is in Iran. Come next spring, we may just find out what all is hiding under the rocks over that direction.
If Iran doesn't stop feeding mujahideen into Iraq, they're next.
