I'm not so sure. Even if it is reported eventually that the Marine is not guilty of a crime, it will not get nearly as much attention as the incident itself is getting now. The lasting impression being created now IMHO is that the Marine is a war criminal.

Actually, I've been in a couple of wars.

The NBC newsman, I'm guessing, has not been trained for warfighting. His position is from a civilian seeing what he perceived as a needless brutality. He most likely was mistaken, but his allegation has to be thoroughly reviewed.

Not unlike LT(jg) Kerry having seen atrocities (as if that's true) while in Viet Nam and not reporting them immediately. We ain't the badguys! The newsman was not wrong IMHO to report the incident. Likely misguided - much out of his element - but not wrong.

Dan Rather gave the Marine the benefit of the doubt. Dan said that in the Fog of war, this happens. He characterized the marine as being young, heat of the moment, etc in a positive way.

The American ( AL Jazeera ) Media / Press has consistently demonstrated to the public its own far left extreme bias to the point of Journalistic Malfeasance. For over forty years they have been biased, but the recent past, has blazingly illuminated this rigid bias to even the semi-blind. They have long ago flushed the Journalistic Creed down the toilet. The Internet has become a marvel in its self, in enabling some of the bias to be exposed and the complete and rapid exchange of information by non members of the Media / Press, on a worldwide basis. The Public has become increasingly aware of this Media / Press dishonesty and deception. The current administration of Pres. Bush has been subjected to the most dishonest reporting in history. Our American ( AL Jazeera ) Media / Press have been rabid in their effort to cast the Pres., the administration and Iraqi democracy war efforts in totally negative, derogatory and denigrating perspectives.
Second: All Media / Press is biased by the mere fact they are not and have not received all the basic and advanced training as a soldier and therefore think totally different. Third: The Media / Press reporter prays for an incident that will give them the front page story in their next news column report. Fourth: 99% of the Media / Press is very Liberal or far left Liberal and as result is anti war, anti military attitudes. Fifth The Media / Press has its own agenda and has relentlessly, provided and authored all of the consistently biased repetitive and excoriated inflammatory criticism of Pres, Bush and the Iraq war. This day to day extreme ( anti American ) criticism has been directly broadcast and rebroadcast on AL Jazeera and provided very strong motivation and encouragement for the terrorists and insurgents to violently continue and expand their violence and terrorist acts. Simultaneously the biased leftist rhetoric and opinions of our American (AL Jazeera ) Media/ Press was echoed and repeated all over Europe by their Liberal Leftist Press, providing even more support and motivation, for the terrorists to continue killing American Soldiers. Radical Islamic Terrorism is worldwide, but if not stopped in Iraq, there will be or may be more Iraqi type wars; where ever Islam has minorities of 20 % or more.
The Public should have no difficulty in realizing or recognizing that Ted Koppel, Tom Brokaw, Peter Jennings, Dan Rather, Katy Couric and hundreds of others are extremely Liberal and Biased, just as all those embedded reporters are also extremely Liberal and Biased.

I sent Rush Limbaugh a e-mail regarding Chris Matthews:

Rush: Matthews’s has really crossed the line in regard to his reporting of the Marine shooting the Iraqi terrorist in the Mosque. He gave the Marine the benefit of the doubt for about 20 seconds, and then basically labeled him a war criminal. He had some air force ex officer concur. I believe that the Marine thought that the Terrorist was playing dead. If you listen to the audio of the report the Marine thinks the terrorist is playing dead. He also looked covered to me. From past experience this means either the terrorist is strap with bombs or is hiding a gun, grenade. Rush, maybe Matthews is doing this to get attention. However, again, he has crossed the line. You need to HAMMER this Quisling.

Rush Limbaugh mentioned on his radio program several months ago that over the years, the Soviet Union planted "Seeds" in the United States. These "Seeds" have sprung up in the Democratic Party. Since the Democratic Party controls the MSM, I am sure these "Seeds" are there too.
