Thank you for your kind comments. I would like to say that those who disagreed with my early assessments stuck to their guns and did their best to analyze the videos and develop further information. In all, this was a quite impressive thread. My hat is off to those who disagreed with me. They were right.
The French do indeed have some major explaining to do.
When it comes to western cultures, I expect more out of them than what it appears the French may have done here. That's why my original inclination was to defend them until it was absolutely conclusive that it appeared they had committed an attrocity.
I have come in contact with the global socialist organization A.N.S.W.E.R. here on the west coast. Their lies about what the U.S. is all about, are astounding. Their bossom buddies the democrat leftists in the United States are more than willing to carry their laundry. So is Europe for the most part. Look at the current day media. We always slam AP/CBS for their biased reporting. I will always be very leary of joining in while people try to discredit western forces in Africa (or the middle east). The last thing I want to do, is become a cog in the wheel of the world's socialist movement.
That isn't what I was accusing the folks on this forum of doing. I don't think any of them would do so on purpose. I just wanted to urge caution with regard to that possibility.
As it turned out, those who disagreed with me had a good reason for doing so. That is good, not that it is good the French participated in this, but it is good that they were caught on video doing something they should answer for, and our analysts here seem to have correctly determined that.
Disagreements on these issues are to be expected. I think both sides conducted themselves fairly well. In the end the truth seems to have won out, reinforced by diverging opinions that intersected as the information was developed.
That is the true beauty of F.R.

But in those videos .. it is more then obvious that the French was firing into that crowd
Then can you offer a theory more plausible than what many have drawn through Occam's razor?
no - unless your prejudice leads one to paint a picture of what you want to see. The video is from the side that wants the French and UN out. Therefore its source is suspect as well so Occam's razor actually falls against this video.

The fact that the source is biased doesn't refute the likely conclusion: we're watching a video of the same incident.

Muzzle blasts into what? The video does not show who they are firing into and why they are firing. Your mind's imagination is inserting things not in the video.

at around 3 minutes and 13 seconds into the video .. you can see a man in a orange shirt walking towards the French troops .. that is when they started to open fire on the guy and the the crowd
I wish I understand the language to know what the crowd is saying and the song they are singing
