Natalie's one of those seemingly intelligent

Flipping through the channels the other night, she didn't sound that intelligent on
James-whathisname's Actor's Studio", or whatever it's called.

At least for the two minutes I stopped on it.

Natalie Portman was born in Israel, I believe.

I can't believe she would not vote for Bush. Makes no sense.

I've heard of that book he's holding. It's a fictionalized account of what would have happened had Lindbergh beat FDR and what might have happened in America.

I can't believe she would not vote for Bush.

Well, she has to fit in Hollywood, and from that Hillary picture, she most likely checked
her common sense at the departure gate at Ben Gurion Airport.

I heard that was the "hip" book among the left. I am sure conversations over martinis include sentences like "it really almost happened!"

Description: When the renowned aviation hero and rabid isolationist Charles A. Lindbergh defeated Franklin Roosevelt by a landslide in the 1940 presidential election, fear invaded every Jewish household in America. Not only had Lindbergh, in a nationwide radio address, publicly blamed the Jews for selfishly pushing America toward a pointless war with Nazi Germany, but upon taking office as the thirty-third president of the United States, he negotiated a cordial “understanding” with Adolf Hitler, whose conquest of Europe and virulent anti-Semitic policies he appeared to accept without difficulty. What then followed in America is the historical setting for this startling new book by Pulitzer Prize–winner Philip Roth, who recounts what it was like for his Newark family — and for a million such families all over the country — during the menacing years of the Lindbergh presidency, when American citizens who happened to be Jews had every reason to expect the worst.

Friend of mine just posted a review:

Okay, has anyone seen Sideways? I loved it. How about Closer? Which blew big, smelly chunks. About 20 minutes into it, I found myself inspecting the aisle carpeting and polishing up my drink holder. Horse---- dialogue combined with bad acting (watch Natalie Portman wail "I amuse you but I bore you!") and then tell me you don't want to drink until you black out afterward.

Julia Roberts was pretty, for once. Although I could not have cared less about what happened to her. Or anyone else, for that matter. And online chat! I say dolphins type "RU sngle?", not humans. Have you ever continued chatting with anyone that can't, you know, live it up AND JUST TYPE OUT THE WHOLE [BLEEPING] WORD?

Ooops, it's Kate Lee, 23.

Drudge is having an off night. If he's so upset at way the budget is going, how it was passed,
and what it includes, he should be sounding a lot angrier, and taking calls from irate citizens.

He sounds forced.
