Is America ready for C-----mas? Christmas has been sanitized in schools and public squares, in malls and parades where Santa's OK, Jesus Christ is not. "Jingle Bells" rocks, but forget about "Silent Night." Some hope to assure the nation that it's all right to say "Merry Christmas." Champions of creches, live Nativity scenes, Christmas trees, greeting cards and salutations offer compelling evidence that December 25 is still a religious holiday -- not a violation of separation of church and state. They are ready to rumble. "Those who think that the censoring of Christmas is a blue-state phenomenon need to consider what happened today in the Wichita [Kansas] Eagle," said William Donahue of the New York-based Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights. The Kansas newspaper ran a correction, he said, for mistakenly referring to a "Christmas Tree" rather than a "Community Tree" at the Wichita Winterfest celebration.

We currently see this happening... right now... today,,, in Hamtramk, Michigan... where the ignorant city councel has purposely given Muslims permission to pollute the entire city with high-powered loud speaker screechings from the top of their mosques, from morning to night, six times a day, seven days a week, as they scream Muslim chants to glorify their pagan moon god Allah, and his child molesting, head chopping prophet, Mohammud (may he rot in hell). And the ACLU backs them 100%, threatening to sue anyone who dares to complain !!!

And then they further defend it by saying... Wherever it comes, Islam brings its delightful customs – child marriages, female circumcisions, rabid hatred toward Christians, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists and every other non-muslim, terrorism and support for terrorism and a virulent intolerance of other faiths as it invades the local population !!!
So am I suggesting we declare war on over 1 million billion Muslims? The question is moot – Islam has declared war on the rest of the human race. When one side knows it’s at war and the other thinks peace and brotherhood prevail, guess who wins???
Ultimately, it is not about Jews in Israel, or Orthodox Serbs in Kosovo, or Hindus in Kashmir, Buddhists in Thailand, or Maronite Catholics in Lebanon, Taoists in China, or Christians in Sudan, Nigeria and Russia... but ALL OF US. As Ben Franklin would have it – Either we will "hang" together, or surely we shall all "hang" separately (now swap "be decapitated" for "hang" to properly update Mr. Franklin) !!!

Amen! The government offices can stay open for the duration of the Easter holidays as well. And mail should now be delivered on Sundays - no more day of rest on the day set aside to worship!!
It just burns me to no end that learning about and celebrating other religion's holidays (hannukah, kwanza, ramaadan, etc.) is A-OK for the schools and government offices, but any mention of Christmas being a celebration of the birth of Christ (and, thus, the beginning of Christianity) is BANNED. I am always open to LEARNING how others celebrate and I don't even oppose having my kids learn about it in school (growing up in Southern California, we 'celebrated' Cinco de Mayo - that didn't make me Mexican OR Catholic!). I just don't believe for one second that the entire Christian religion should be banned in order to "not offend" anyone.
The whole idea of someone being "offended" enough to banish another person's beliefs just disgusts me. I'll do my thing, you do yours - as long as neither is hurting the other, what is the problem??? I've never assaulted a gay person for their choices (and to do that would now be a crime), so why should MY personal freedoms and choices be trampled in an effort to create a more "tolerant" world?!

Negating Jesus' Birth... his life, and his 'crucification in our place' and the resurrection we may all have in Him....makes a 'non Christ in Christmas' negate the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...
If we cannot have 'religious' public holidays then Christmas should be canceled -forthwith.. as satan worship aka pagan worship is still a form of religious worship albeit false...but an expression of religion nonetheless
