Gang Member Admits Role in 2001 Va. Slaying

By Tom Jackman Washington Post Staff Writer Friday, December 10, 2004; Page B01

A Salvadoran gang member admitted yesterday in a Fairfax County courtroom that he led the gang rape of a Falls Church area woman in the summer of 2001, then kicked her in the neck with such force that it killed her.

Oscar Omar Ramos Hernandez, 26, pleaded guilty to capital murder, abduction and rape and signed a plea agreement to serve three consecutive life sentences. Fairfax County Circuit Court Judge Kathleen H. MacKay said she would probably accept the deal but ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set a sentencing hearing for Feb. 4.

It is unbelievable to me that this articles fails to mention that the subject was a freakin illegal alien. The only hint comes from a brief bit about how he was previously deported but then came back via Texas. And when the writer mentions how he initially moved to Va. to get away from the gangs in El Salvador it sounds all nice and innocent. To wit - "Hernandez reported participating in a machete killing in El Salvador when he was 16, served two years in a juvenile facility there and moved to the United States in 2000 in hopes of leaving the gang life behind."

Illegal is the key part, he should have never have been here. The papers just don't want to offend the racist latinos and illegal alien lover lobby. But, I don't mind offending them.

No doubt, he'll get off on 40 hours of community service picking up trash on I-95.

If I were an LEO, and I witnessed a perp murder someone, I'd 'forget' the Miranda-PC BS, and put the perp away. And, actually I used to be sort of a pacifist in terms of the legal-judical system. After seeing years of mis-behavior, I'm fed up. Especially after 9-11.

Unfortunately, many illegal gangbangers use this claim "I came to leave the gang life behind" to claim asylum (I would be persecuted because of my tattoos and "former" gang status. Had he not committed this crime, he would have had a good shot at asylum, and probably gotten it, especially if he was a juvenile, under 18. Yep, many immigration judges will grant asylum based on claims like this, on no more than a story of "possible" persecution.

He never would have had to mention his little murder by machete, and no one would have known unless he talked about it - there is no database mechanism in place to search for or do background checks on people like this in 3rd World countries.

In 2002, Hernandez went to Georgia, where he was arrested and deported. He told immigration authorities he was Mexican, so they sent him to Mexico, he told police. He quickly reentered the United States through Texas.

Why we continue to leave our borders open to these monsters is a mystery to me.

Everyone has had enough of illegals and being PC to them and their crowd. I know I have had enough of being PC to illegal criminals and thier supporters of criminals.

The only one who hasn't is Bush.

Yes. Sir. And this is one of many criticsms of have with President Bush's philosophies. He is indeed a socailist, is less than I expect in protecting our borders. Hoever, thank God that Gore or Kerry havs not been or will be, for the next four years as Commander In Chief. Not to diminish my major W concerns on the home front. But if Gore had been sworn in in 02, this country would be in really deep sh!t. If Kerry won 04, liquidate your investments, take it out in gold, and move to the Fiji Islands.

Hey man, ease up! Don't you realize he was just doing a crime nobody else wanted to do?

And think of all the multicultural values he brought in for us ALL to share.

(Detective) Perez asked Hernandez whether killing someone increased his stature in MS-13. "Hell yeah," Perez said Hernandez told him. "The crazier you're known to be, the more respect the gang gives you," Hernandez said. Hernandez's gang nickname was "Psycho."

Just what we need in this country - another criminal gang member.

If Hernandez had tried to enter the US legally, he never would have succeeded. His criminal background alone would have stopped the process.

We should just take him out back by the creek, kick him viciously in the neck, and be done with this demon.

We know there are other members of the MS-13 still here. Why are they still on the streets? Is it possible the police can't understand they are gang members by their obvious tattoos?

I'm beginning to think we need a "Devil's Island", far, far offshore to incarcerate these vicious illegals. Swan Island would do just fine. A noose would be even better.

"Time to start putting bounties on illegal alien criminals."

Time to put a bounty on the people that hire them and refuse to close the border and won't deport or keep them locked up after committing the crimes. It's also time to stop supporting businesses that promote this invasion, like the contributors to MALDEF (WalMart, McDonalds, etc, etc.). We're paying for our own destruction.

"there is no database mechanism in place to search for or do background checks on people like this in 3rd World countries."

And yet, this government plans on putting illegals on the Social Security system.....like that will work.
