Women with Breast Implants Have Higher Suicide Risk

Three times the suicide rate is pretty impressive. While not all women who have breast augmentation are mentally imbalanced, that there is a certain percentage of breats surgery women would be "less happy" than others makes a certain amount of sense.

If reporters treat this same study with the same attitude that they treat Violence Policy Center "studies," we will soon be hearing calls to ban breast implants, because they "cause" suicides and mental instability. Correlation vs. causation.

Many of the women I see are suffering from huge self esteem problems. When bigger breasts don't act as a cure-all, I can see how these figures make sense.

Could it be that not being happy with one's appearance, therefore having breast implants to raise one's esteem is contributing to this rate. Breast implantations are probably one of the most notable forms of cosmetic surgery and after getting it done they find out the satisfaction just isn't there compared to them being natural.
