You are correct that this administration is not required to do everything I demand, but that doesn't mean I can't demand action anyway. I'm sure you would agree that we have a right to demand our elected officials overturn Roe-v-Wade, but I doubt that this administration will take any steps to do so.
Obviously a difficult part of Rummy's job is to communicate to those families who have lost soldiers in the service of our country. Given the magnitude of this loss, he should personally sign those letters himself, or have them sent by and signed by someone of lower rank.
Think of it this way. What has more value to you? A Christmas card signed by a business acquaintance, or a Christmas card mass mailed by a business? Now magnify that affect a billion fold.
If it were my son or daughter, I would appreciate a personally signed letter from Rummy. If it was simply printed and mailed out by the bureaucratic machine, I would tell the government to save themselves the postage.
Get some therapy.
