Go vote with your wallet this Christmas
The Washington Times ^ | December 20, 2004 | Shihoko Goto

Are you one of those people who are still upset about the election results?

Does President Bush's insistence that the situation in Iraq is under control get you mad? And does the administration's continued push for more tax cuts despite an ever-increasing budget deficit leave you seething?

Then you might want to think long and hard before you go out to do some last-minute Christmas shopping.

The elections may be over, but it's still possible for those politically conscious voters to make their opinions heard by being selective about where they go purchase gifts.

I was wondering why this tripe was in Washington Times. Then I noticed it was part of a UPI feed. :)

Excellent article, I'll have to go to bluebuy.com and add that to the list in my purse of french companies I don't buy from. Rather ironic they were trying to support this cause and yet ending up giving the "red" states places NOT to shop. Bummer, no more Sonic onion rings for me.

I'll second the remark regarding places NOT to shop. I guess we also now realize the reason for so many anti-WalMart things on TV lately. Living in a small town that had a Wal-Mart move in a few miles down the highway, I can attest to the fact that our local commercial districts are as vibrant as ever.

These folks think voting with your wallet is something new? It never ceases to amaze me how libs take one of our pet ideas, clone it, and...shazam! It's their "new" idea.

Folks, I don't know about you, but I've been doing this for years with companies. I don't buy Levi's products anymore because they supported Gun Control efforts. I studiously avoid Hallmark Cards for the same reason. You can help in the media by not watching opposition-friendly affiliates, thereby decreasing their ratings, which will ultimately cut revenues and therefore potential political contributions. You can't avoid involuntarily donating to the enemy sometimes, but any dollar you can give to a friend is a plus.

It is no secret that the majority of the country's wealth lies in the hands of conservatives. If we can put our resources to work, we can surely deep-six any comparable counter effort.

try to find any religous material or signs of Christmas INSIDE of a Target store. No Red and Green no Christian gift wrap, santa claus and blue bags at two super centers in Dallas.

If they don't have it in the Red states you know they don't have it in the people republic of MN or any othe blue county. Extend the reason to boycott Target.
