Al came within a whisker of winning the Prez seat. We dodged a bullet.
Back when Congressman Larry McDonald was alive, I asked him what he thought of my two Tennessee Senators, Sasser and Gore. He joked that Sasser looked like a "15 year old queer with a runny nose". But with Gore he turned serious and said, "I think he is a dangerous man."
Back in the early 80s Gore was considered very handsome and very talented in avoiding political misteps. But over the years he has shown that he can give us, his opposition, the gift of being a complete jerk.
Nixon came back after twin defeats. Hopefully Gore will not be able to reinvent himself as anything winable.

Too bad he screwed himself with the nutcase rant against W. He created enough sound bites for a successful mental health committment against him.

The only problem I had with Al Gore before the 2000 election was his failure to condemn Clinton on multiple occasions. After the election, he showed himself to be a mentally unstable, loudmouthed, poor loser. Perfect Rat candidate for 2008!!

I'm serious. All 3 will be in the Primaries.
Hillary is pre-posotioning herself right now, and ask anyone in the DNC and they confirm she is their front-runner. Pollsters show her as their "best chance".
Ol' Horseface still has $45 Million and has privately told his people to save their donor lists and be prepared for '07.
And Gore? Well, listen to him. He's been running since he lost, but the stalwarts of the party are calling the grassroots folks and saying he's going to get into the fight.
The '08 Presidential race has begun.

That is a good analysis. I never underestimate any of the Democrat wannabes, they are all dangerous. Fortunately, in order to secure the support of the party's base they always have to move farther to the left as the campaign goes on. This always seals their ultimate defeat. This will be repeated again in 2008.
