Savage: Iraq blue fingerprint election was a mere "prop"
The Savage Nation | jwb

Posted on 02/04/2005 5:55:37 PM PST by jwb0581

Michael Savage said tonight on his radio program that the Jan. 31st elections in Iraq were merely a fraud and a prop. Of all people I thought Savage would welcome democracy in the Middle East. But he seems to think that the Iraqis will install an Islamic fundamentalist state. I'd like to get some thoughts on this.

I am right with you there. I'm pretty damned conservative, and he's like something that crawled out of the X-Files or something. He seems more motivated by his "hatin'" schtick than by anything approaching a coherent, reality-based worldview.

He can't compete with other mainline conservatives so he has to go for the fringe extremist niche.

Savage doesn't understand Shi'ite.

That, too.

It does look like the Kurds and Shiites are going to install a Shii government with an autonomous Kurdistan and do to the Sunnis what the Sunnis have be doing to the Shiites.

Vengeance is very much on their minds, or so it appears.

There is no equivalent to Archbishop Desmond Tutu (South African who wrote No Peace Without Forgiveness) in the Muslim world.

I really used to like him, have a couple of his books, but these past couple years, he's really flipped out.

In fact, the Shiite religious party seems to have won.

I didn't hear Savage say that the elections were a fraud, but he did say, as he has in the past, that the only solution was a division of the country, into it's ethnic regions. I think that that is the obvious solution, as Savage as pointed out in the past, Iraq really isn't a nation. I wouldn't go along with Savage's proposed giving the Shiites to Iran in return for a no-nukes pledge.

Here's a foolproof formula to create a Savage Bashing Thread (R). Take one comment he makes on the radio, completely without context and just post it.

Do you want to put the comment in context for us?

You sound like CNN claiming Eason Jordan's comments were taken out of context. There is no context in which the comments would be appropriate.

Take one comment he makes on the radio, completely without context and just post it. Sit back and watch the fireworks.

That's valid when you're talking about Savage. His stream-of-consciousness talking style allows that. In-depth analysis is not his forte.

Why do Freepers keep giving time to that freak show? How about we flush it down the toilet and help some others along?

I've found Jerry Doyle on WBAP 820 out of Texas, (9 to midnight Central). He'll do alright, give him some time, and he gives Kennedy and the HildaBeast pure hell, and he doesn't hawk his books and videos every other breath.

The Savage show should be wrapped in a plane brown wrapper, and marked, "for adult entertainment purposes only".

I stopped listening to that goof-ball long ago.

If we institute the Ted Kennedy play right now - yes.

The fundamentalists would jump all over it.

But that is why we are there, and will stay for a bit. To make sure the seed has a chance to grow.

"Savage's mind is like a junkdrawer of facts--all tossed in there, in such a mess that you can't find anything when you need it."

Oh, Lordy, that just sums it up!! What a great comment ! LOL!
